A House GOP lawmaker wants to award a U.S. Marine veteran, accused of killing a homeless man in what he argued was the defense of himself and others, with Congress’ highest civilian honor.
Rep. Eli Crane, R-Ariz., is planning to introduce a resolution to give Daniel Penny the Congressional Gold Medal, Fox News Digital was told on Friday.
"Daniel Penny’s actions exemplify what it means to stand against the grain to do right in a world that rewards moral cowardice," said Crane, a retired Navy SEAL.

Give him a medal!
Nearly all Republicans used to roll-over for the woke-left when they had a “police violence,” some vague racial civil rights power grab by Democrats or the DOJ, or LGBT controversy on their hands.
While we still have wretched RINOS among us, at least now many in the GOP are unafraid to speak out.
Mighta wanted to wait until the dust settles on the trial before going public with this....just my 2 cent
I was looking for a Babylon Bee tag on this one. So glad it wasn’t there.
It was a mere 4 years ago, that's how much and so fast things have changed. Police chiefs, even in RED STATES, despicably kneeling before black supremacists.
Breath of fresh air.
He does that now they will convict him put of spite. SHUT UP!
Disagree.
The trial is BS, same as the BS trials inflicted on Mr. Trump, his associates, and the J6 Patriots.
the only problem with pushing the matter now is that it should have been done earlier.
And in other news:
The Biden regime has quietly revoked the veterans hiring preference for civil service jobs and promotions, which since the 1944 Veterans Act gave eligible veterans preference over others for appointments in federal civil service selection, a memorandum obtained by American Greatness shows.
The goal of the veterans’ preference law was to “provide a uniform method by which qualified veterans [could] receive special consideration for federal employment,” according to Military.com.
By law, veterans who are disabled or who served on active duty during certain specified time periods or in military campaigns are entitled to preference over non-veterans both in hiring from competitive lists and in retention during reductions in force.
New guidelines from the Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service (DCPAS) now stipulate that “veterans’ preference should be considered on an equal basis as other qualified candidates.” READ AT:

Now, may not be a bad time.
If this ends up hung, as it looks to be, the decision will be made to re-try. There is a narrow window, here.
Trump should award him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
I’ll take a pass on Derek Chauvin V2.0.
The “settling dust” seems only to bury the good guys.
“Disagree”
You would! 😂
How many people were protected when this Marine did the right thing? Now he is being punished in a Woke courtroom.
Will not stand. Can’t revoke a law by decree or guideline. Much to uncover and undo in january.
Why?
Trump will pardon him.
Sometimes I disagree.
Sometimes I’m just disagreeable.
😈👿👹👺
There’s no telling what this might make a juror do.
I noticed 😏
