Ten months after Tucker Carlson's interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the American journalist returned to Moscow to talk with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The conversation is devoted to the most pressing issues, including the possible dialogue between Russia and the West. Read the full text of the interview below.
Tucker Carlson: Minister Lavrov, thank you for doing this. Do you believe the United States and Russia are at war with each other right now?
Sergey Lavrov: I wouldn't say so. And in any case, this is not what we want. We would like to have normal relations with all our neighbors, of course, but generally with all countries especially with the great country like the United States. And President Vladimir Putin repeatedly expressed his respect for the American people, for the American history, for the American achievements in the world, and we don't see any reason why Russia and the United States cannot cooperate for the sake of the universe.
Tucker Carlson: But the United States is funding a conflict that you're involved in, of course, and now is allowing attacks on Russia itself. So that doesn't constitute war?
Sergey Lavrov: Well, we officially are not at war. But what is going on in Ukraine is that some people call it hybrid war. I would call it hybrid war as well, but it is obvious that the Ukrainians would not be able to do what they're doing with long-range modern weapons without direct participation of the American servicemen. And this is dangerous, no doubt about this.
We don't want to aggravate the situation, but since ATACMS and other long-range weapons are being used against mainland Russia as it were, we are sending signals. We hope that the last one, a couple of weeks ago, the signal with the new weapon system........

That “new weapon” could be a true game-changer. We have our own but there doesn’t seem to be any reliable way to counter them as of yet.
It would be great to dump Ukraine, dump Russia and help our own people. Dump illegals.
It was an interesting interview, and parallels (no surprise) much of what Putin said. The weapon really is revolutionary. You don’t need much to heavily disrupt underground operations, just a bunch of kinetic rods.
Lavrov doesn’t sound like a mad man to me. Is it too late to have self-determination and fair elections available for the people in Ukraine any more? Somethings wrong with the current picture where the people who live in that war torn hellhole have no say in anything anymore.
I am impressed with the calm and statesman-like behavior of Lavrov as contrasted with the trigger-happy tantrums of globohomos like Lindsey Graham, Biden, and Pelosi. Long live Mother Russia.
Sadly American has no statesmen.
Lavrov mentioned how diplomats were running and hiding like children from the Russians at one of the global meetings.
How can one negotiate with the likes of that ?
The more globohomo tells me Russia is evil, the more I am drawn to Russia.
Ah, Lavrov... not only a foreign minister of Russia, but also for all practical purposes, a foreign agent of Hamas.
Thanks for this, Marshmallow, I will read the transcript and then comment.
So charming...he must appreciate Hugo Chavez and his successor for sending wave after wave of both refugees and criminal illegals to our border...
“...On Friday, Russian Federation’s Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov evoked the historical figure of Commander Hugo Chavez, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution whose death anniversary Venezuelans will remember next Sunday.
“We pay tribute to Hugo Chavez, who passed away 10 years ago, leaving a deep mark not only in the history of his country and Latin American, but also in the history of the world community,” Lavrov said, pointing out that the late Venezuelan president was an unwavering defender of equality in international affairs....”
When people like Valerie Nuland are loose in the State Dept & conniving to create color revolutions, it’s impossible to believe that we’re getting the truth of what’s going on in Russia. Lavrov did sound very reasonable.
Well worth the time.
Thank you Tucker
Larov is a true friend of humanity and the American people, as opposed to warmongers like the Cheneys and the Nulands that infect our culture. Long live Russia.
