An organized burglary ring has been targeting homes in Abington Township, Montgomery County, in the last several weeks and police are warning people to be on the lookout.
Abington Township police are calling them “criminal tourists” who they say are entering the country for temporary stays and stealing from homes. They say this is connected to a national trend that has been seen all the way from California to Pennsylvania.

Occasionally but not if they can avoid it. I just enjoy seeing the “elites” in deep blue suburbs getting the full force of their voting patterns.
From what I’ve read about the activity in SoCal, these are crimes not committed by we morally call ‘illegals’ but rather criminal gangs (from Chile?) who enter legally on tourist visas, burgle in ritzy neighborhoods across many states. They hit a few places, move on to other areas maybe in a different state. They leave before the local LEOs can detect a pattern and then leave the U.S. before they are identified or caught.
I visited the link (hope I don’t get suspended for violating FR protocol!) because I wanted to see how far down in the article the reference to illegal “burglary tourists” appeared.
Imagine my surprise! It’s the caption of the picture and the opening words AT THE TOP of the article.
IMO this is a Big Deal — it’s a mainstream media channel in of all places Philadelphia, speaking the actual unvarnished truth, woke be damned.
Again IMO more evidence that America is emerging from its long period of flirting with total insanity.
“Tourists” sounds so much better than wet backs, illegals, aliens, undocumented workers and now asylum seekers.
These gangs have been targeting my community and also Carmel Indiana.
The local Rangers (our police organization) have been sending alerts to the residents that these groups originated in Chile and they go from city to city breaking into high value properties.
In addition they usually break in thru upstairs back windows. Those windows apparently often do not have alarm systems attached to them.
They also generally attack homes that are connected to some type of green space beside or behind the property, like horse trails or parks.
Motion lights and timed lights seem to be a good deterrent but they will often knock on doors while casing the property, lessening the effect.
But, they will flee if they are confronted by a property owner. They don’t strongarm.
ALL those creepy cameras LE and the government have put up all over the place in order to “protect” us...seems they can’t see a darn thing.
Christmas is around the corner and when the kids get back from visiting with grandma down south, they have the wildest stories for their classmates like which cousin is in which gang and what they’d be up to. Psst, cops, there’s your source.
They don’t strongarm... until they do.
And that's why local PD can't find them or get your stuff back. Might as well not even bother to investigate.

This corrupt government is now the travel agent for criminals entering the U.S.!

Keep in mind that they also use cell-phone jammers and cut Internet connections, so the dingbats who think ‘technology’ will keep them safe are in for a bit of a shock.
Our community is somewhat unique in that a specific alarm system company has a direct connection with our police force. It alerts them and provides direct video to them (as available) as well as alerts when a connection is broken.
But breakins happen even there.
People...be sensitive. These “poor wanderers” have less than you do. Open you hearts (and front doors) so they can work towards a better life for their spouses and children. To do otherwise is so harsh and unreasonable.
