Let's be honest here. The only thing shocking about Joe Biden pardoning his son, Hunter, was the timing. He was always going to do it. I think most people, myself included, figured he'd wait until January.
Now, this pardon will cast a shadow over the final weeks of Biden’s presidency, but let’s face it: Joe does not care. Predictably, some on the left are already applauding him, hailing it as the act of a “good father,” and so on. However, it's time to cut through the noise. While the pardon was technically on Hunter's behalf, it’s clear that this move was really about protecting Joe Biden himself.
...
Hunter Biden received a "full and unconditional pardon" for any possible crime he committed, retroactive to seven years before Joe Biden even took office. He didn't merely commute the sentences of the crimes he was convicted of; Joe gave him a blanket pardon for any and all crimes he may have committed for nearly eleven years.
...
Why does this matter? Well, it just so happens that Hunter Biden joined the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma in 2014. This means that Hunter's pardon wasn't merely about taxes or gun charges; it was about preventing exposure of the Biden crime family's influence-peddling schemes. We've been covering the Biden crime family for a long time now. We know Joe Biden was involved in Hunter's business dealings and that millions of dollars were laundered through Biden family shell companies.
So don't be fooled; Joe Biden didn't merely pardon Hunter—he pardoned himself.

Wait, what? Joe said he knew nothing about Hunter's business dealings.
Joe was VP in 2014.
Of course it’s all about Joe. Show me any crack addict/user who isn’t mixed up in a family of narcissistic sociopaths
AND obama and probably about half of the elected dim-0s in Washington.
That's why Burisma hired Hunter, to buy influence with Joe and with the Obama administration.
IF they start digging then they may find things that implicate joe and his family. So does pardoning his son pardon all of them because he used hunter to commit the crimes and the rest of them just got money from it. Would while hunter is pardoned from the crimes mean they all get to keep the money. Does a pardon from the crimes mean mean they get to keep the ill gotten money also. All crimes forgiven and any money gathered from the crimes is excused also.
Predictably, some on the left are already applauding him, hailing it as the act of a “good father,” and so on.

Some on the right as well. I won’t call attention to this fact, but I was just correcting a FReeper who claimed Joe was being honest.
Biden writes today, “In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me – and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough.”
Pretty much says it all there.
yep
all part of the cover up
Biden was VP when he illegally used his authority....
“I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I
think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six
hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,’” Biden
recalled telling Poroshenko.
“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was
solid at the time,” Biden told the Council on Foreign Relations event,
excellent points.
He lied. 😃
Yup.
What's weird is that Jim Biden who is obviously mixed up in the Burisma graft isn't yet covered by a pardon. Does Joe think that no one will start flipping over rocks looking at his brother's involvement in the family business? Or is he confident enough that the trail will go cold and never reach himself? Or does he know that following up with Jim will also implicate powerful Republicans who will be able to derail an investigation?
Maybe Kash Patel could look into this a bit?
Can a civil action be brought against Hunter for the taxes on all the money he made?
But the pardon won’t be able to stop any investigation of his crimes.
Jim Biden 11 year blanket pardon coming mid-Jan 2025.
Biden will soon pardon Trump. And Trump will reject the pardon.
This could get interesting:
BREAKING: Special Counsel David Weiss rejects Hunter Biden’s bid to dismiss his indictment, saying a pardon doesn’t erase the charges.
I wonder if this pardon precludes the IRS from inquiring about the tax status of their wealth ?
