Desertion is starving the Ukrainian army of desperately needed manpower and crippling its battle plans at a crucial time in its war with Russia, which could put Kyiv at a clear disadvantage in future ceasefire talks.
Facing every imaginable shortage, tens of thousands of Ukrainian troops, tired and bereft, have walked away from combat and front-line positions to slide into anonymity, according to soldiers, lawyers and Ukrainian officials. Entire units have abandoned their posts, leaving defensive lines vulnerable and accelerating territorial losses, according to military commanders and soldiers.
Some take medical leave and never return, haunted by the traumas of war and demoralized by bleak prospects for victory. Others clash with commanders and refuse to carry out orders, sometimes in the middle of firefights.

I’m not sure how this is possible. Ukraine has been winning this war for a good two years. I read it. I heard it from peeps here on FR how the Russians are incompetent. I’m sure all this talk of desertion is just FAKE NEWS. (ofc I’m being sarcastic).
It’s called a morale failure when your troops have lost the will to fight. The dwarf just needs to run away while he can.

Yeah seems like the Ukrainians don’t want to keep on with this war, but they don’t have choice because a lunatic is running won’t give up the presidency and he knows he’s dead as soon as the war seems lost so it’s nothing to him to take everyone with him.

Now there is a factor absolutely no one is taking into consideration. We hear what Putin wants, Zelenzkyy wants, what NATO wants, what Trump wants, what the U.S. wants, but no one is asking or reporting what the Ukrainian PEOPLE want.
Here we all are telling them what WE want them to do and completely ignoring what THEY themselves want to do. None of these parties have a right to force what they want on them.
It has become obvious we don’t care what they want.
The crucial time is the next 2 months when the grifters still have their hands on the pump handle. I predict the casualty rate will drop precipitously by March.
