Things aren't looking good at Nissan. Dealers are selling cars at a loss, production has slowed, and more recently, the company cut thousands of jobs and sold a third of its stake in Mitsubishi. But it all may have been too little too late.
A new report suggests that the automaker's days are numbered. In an interview with the Financial Times, two unnamed Nissan executives said the company has "12 to 14 months to survive." "This is going to be tough. And in the end, we need Japan and the US to be generating cash," they said.
The company is reportedly looking for a new long-term investor, such as a bank or large insurance group, to replace some of Renault's equity holdings. The company also hasn't ruled out the possibility of longtime rival Honda taking a majority stake in the company, saying "all options" are on the table. Nissan recently signed a partnership with Honda (and Mitsubishi) for long-term EV development.
Ferrari has now gone woke, and is preaching “inclusivity.”
And nothing says “inclusivity” like requiring background checks and “social status checks” for ENTIRE FAMILIES before they’re allowed to purchase your cars.

Finally, us poor and broke car buyers can get a Ferrari!
You can try to rebrand from Datsun to Pissan, but it will always be a Datsun
The real joke is on the fools who fell for the Infinity rocks and leaves hilarity.
Toyota got away with that in the Lexus brand, no workee for Datsaun.
I hope they survive. I like their small SUV, the Qashqai.
I had a 2000 Frontier 4 banger. Went 212K with minimal problems. Got a 2006 Frontier NISMO and it did ok until 130K then went to crap. At 175k (after a transmission replacement at 150K) it crapped the bed. Got a 2013 Tacoma that feels like a new truck every time I drive it. Nissan jumped the shark.
Considering how they treated Carlos Ghosn, Nissan deserves to go out of business.

Like a drowning man asking for someone to toss him a 50 pound rock. Those EV money surges from car buyers might save Nissan yet so stay tuned.
Nisson has big problems, mainly becaue their vehicles really really suck, and they have for a long time.
Heard an analyst say the US automakers decided to ignore low priced models and concentrate on higher priced and outright luxury ones. That lets me out.
Only people who gave more than $500,000 to Kamala’s campaign need apply at the auto dealer.
Bouncers will take others out by both arms.
Ferrari just gave me a reason to boycott their products.

And they wonder why they have 12 to 14 months left.
Have you driven a Nissan Rouge? I have, because it was the only midsize they had available at a rental agency when I needed a rental. What an under powered POS.
I agree.
Tell me about it. I’m on my second Frontier.
And the same engine is in the 2 Xterras I’ve owned.
They had some iconic cars....I was looking to buy a sedan recently...but I read everywhere that their CVTs break too often and Nissan doesn’t fix them. Thought I might buy a new Versa but they wanted 23K for really cheap looking, tinny car. Got an older used ,surprisingly tinny outer metal, used Toyota Corolla for less than half(40%) of 23k.
