NATO chief: Ukraine not in strong position to negotiate with Putin
The Hill via Yahoo ^ | November 27th, 2024 | Sarah Fortinsky

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said on Wednesday that Ukraine is not in a strong enough position to begin negotiating an end to the war with Russia and said any deal struck must “prevent the Russians from getting what they want.”

In an interview with Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade, Rutte stressed the importance of striking a favorable deal for Ukraine, saying it will set a precedent for nations who have similar goals to Russia.

“I think that’s crucial that we have a good deal because the whole world will be watching what type of deal will be struck between Russia and Ukraine when it comes to it,” Rutte said.

“We have to make sure that Ukraine is in a position of more strength than they are at the moment,” Rutte added, “so that a deal can be struck which is favorable not to the Russians — and therefore to China, North Korea and Iran — because they all will be watching.”

Ukraine and Russia have irreconcilable differences.

Neither side will willingly give what the other side needs. All this talk of a negotiated settlement is wasted air.

An imposed settlement is the end game.

Yeh, no kidding. Ukraine is going to get rolled because they let the EU/NATO drag them from the negotiating table early on when they had some leverage.

Ukraine is really ballsy whilst wielding our weaponry. As soon as that’s gone, they will learn how to negotiate peace real quick.

An imposed settlement is the end game.

And Trump will probably provide that, to everyone's relief.

I think the author of 'THE ART OF THE DEAL' can fix it.

But LOSER Biden would rather BURN AMERICA DOWN than hand it over to Trump somewhat intact.

The Neocons, in being directly responsible for the deaths of some 100,000 Russians, now are complaining that the Russians won’t settle for a crappy deal where Russia ends up with next to nothing.

Go figure!

Most Ukrainians in polls favor a negotiated settlement today.

This is from our side, so don’t pretend it’s “propaganda,” the label folks slap on everything they don’t like:

https://news.gallup.com/poll/653495/half-ukrainians-quick-negotiated-end-war.aspx

Likewise, if you had elections today, Mr. Z would be gone. Why do you think we’re so supportive of the elections having been suspended in Ukraine? Our boy would fly out of office.

A few of your premises are faulty to get to your conclusion.

This war is kept alive not even by Ukraine but the West i.e. US, UK, France, Poland, Germany (what we claim is the entire “world” in our msm)!

Plenty around, ask Boris Johnson why he flew to Ukraine to nix a Peace deal that both Russia and Ukraine signed off on. The Ukies had two chances for a Peace deal, when they were much stronger.

Now they are in a state of collapse, easy to figure what kind of “deal” they will get…..unconditional surrender suites me fine.

Embrace the suck. You think that you feel bad about the election and the Ukraine now, just wait.

Is this guy a Russian puppet ?

Anyone that is facing reality or points out how corrupt the Biden regime and leaders of NATO countries have been is a Russian puppet?

Sounds like an argument a leftist or Democrat would use.

Ukraine is not strong enough now. Must wait until they get stronk as bull fighting the Russians. The losers must lose more until want’s left can overpower the Russians.
