North Carolina residents, including families with small children, are sleeping in snow-surrounded tents as post-hurricane recovery remains slow and federal aid even slower.
This week, up to six inches of snow were predicted for western North Carolina. For hurricane victims still living in tents, that’s yet another natural disaster. A Fox News reporter recently went down to the area affected by snowstorms in North Carolina to talk to some of the Americans living in tents. Meanwhile, the U.S. taxpayer funds hotel rooms, flights, and other freebies for illegal immigrants across the country, to the tune of millions of dollars.

Go to the GSA website. The U.S. government is auctioning off used surplus mobile homes and RV trailers in the southeastern states. No doubt these could easily be towed to western NC and set up for temporary shelter.
The US RV industry is currently in one of its cyclical depressions. RV sales lots are full and RV manufacturers are shutting down factories putting US workers out of jobs. These surplus trailers and excess production could easily be used to fulfill temporary housing needs while permanent homes are being rebuilt. A few million dollars, taken from the hundreds of billions sent to Ukraine, could move freezing Americans in western NC from tents to decent movable shelter while keeping factories going.
The federal government has plenty of money and resources for millions of illegal border crossers and migrants from 3rd world nations. For US citizens, devastated by a natural disaster of epic proportions, it has no sense of urgency and a pittance of resources.
Anyone remember when a red state flooded and BO denied emergency funds but gave it to the blue states affected? Was it Ohio?
Things like THIS and in NC are why democrats should NEVER be in charge. Just look at the J6 people and how Republicans are being stomped into the ground because dems are seeking payback for our beliefs.

I am sorry, I live in NC now, I remember Katrina and what I told my kids then was even if you have to walk, don’t sit there get out. If I had a family in western NC, even if I had been born and raised there, THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. GET OUT OF THERE. I would hitch a ride to Charlotte, I would get a job as a waitress, if that was all I could find, get started in a small little apartment that had heat and water. Rebuild a life there.
What is the point of all this living in tents waiting for who knows what? Your life there is gone. Get your kids somewhere clean and warm for Pete’s sake.

The FEMA trailers, hundreds and hundreds of them are sitting empty in Hickory, NC. FEMA won’t move them to where they are needed because of the lame duck administration. What the people of western NC should do is go to Hickory and move into the trailers. Overwhelm the FEMA idiots who are sitting there with all the trailers. Just show up and move into the trailers. Hickory is not that far away. Do it.
So what’s with the state?
I know they’ve a Dem guv—can you imagine DeSantis being nearly so unresponsive, even in simply reporting the extent of the damage and loss?—but it’s a Pubbie legislature.
FEMA leadership continues to give aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States. This is why they do not help NC families.
