JD Vance could serve as a de facto “prime minister” to Donald Trump, Republicans have suggested, becoming the most powerful vice-president to hold the office since Dick Cheney.
Since Mr Trump selected the Ohio senator as his running mate, Mr Vance has been viewed as the heir apparent to the Republican leader’s MAGA movement, with rumours abounding that he will take on a role as powerful as Dick Cheney’s, president George W Bush’s vice-president.
Mr Cheney is considered the most powerful vice-president in US history, playing a critical road in reshaping US national security law.
He played a major role in Mr Bush’s decision to invade Iraq, as well as other major foreign policy decisions.

I’ve heard a lot about Elon the last few days, not so much about Vance. What’s he been up to? Cabinet vetting mebbe?
JD will be busy undoing all that the dick has done to ruin this great nation.

Compare JD to the current VP and the difference will be shocking. JD isn’t going to hide. He was a Marine and any task Trump gives him will be completed. He’ll also take every lesson Trump can give on the real way to negotiate. This could be a great 12 years.

Trump will mentor JD Vance, who has no executive experience as far as I know, so that in 2028 JD will be fully ready to become a great president of the United States.
I love the way JD handled all interviews, especially the hostile ones. He is definitely ready to negotiate with any world leader. He is probably smarter than any of them.

But he did make sure his children served the country in the military. Oh, wait... that never happened. And the Lizard is Daddy’s little war mongering, money-grubbing creature.
It does kind of seem that Elon has stolen the show. I would love to see more of Vance. Although I think I’ve heard reports that he’s been busy shepherding Trump’s Cabinet appointments around the Senate preparing for confirmation.
Mike Pence is relegated to the equivalent of gum on the bottom of a shoe.
