In a controversial move that has sparked widespread criticism, Frederick Mayor Michael O’Connor is proposing to use taxpayer funds to support legal services for undocumented immigrants, potentially undermining federal immigration enforcement.

Despite President-elect Trump’s clear mandate to address illegal immigration, O’Connor plans to create a ‘Legal Advocacy Fund’ that would use city resources to protect individuals who have entered the country illegally.

Ya gotta LOVE those two pics side-by-side! Kinda says it all, doesn’t it?

The pasty white soy boy should house some of those MS13 types in his house. He needs some cultural enrichment. Maybe he could offer his daughters to provide entertainment for his guests.

They're pathetic. Does anyone believe that he'll get any respect from MS13 or any other bottom feeders?

It seems as though they want to let these guys off to further expedite their trafficking schemes.

What happened to Frederick?

The whole Maryland Panhandle used to be solid red.

Is the influx of DC suburbanites that are voting for clowns like this?

Giving anything to illegals encourages them to live here and thus is a violation of section 1324 title 8.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1324

(A)Any person who—

(iv)encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law; or
(v)
(I)engages in any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts, or
(II)aids or abets the commission of any of the preceding acts,
shall be punished as provided in subparagraph (B).

(B)A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs—

(iv)in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both.

Must be the results of fertilizer runoff into the Monocacy River affecting the drinking water? I hope that the rest of the residents there don’t drink that water! Not good for the brain! Look how goofy it made this mayor!!!!!!

Yep, Frederick County has a lot of suburban residents from the Washington DC area nowadays.

Cursory review of election results shows that Kamala got 56% of the vote in Frederick County.

By contrast, Trump got 60% in Washington County, 69% in Allegany County, and 76% in Garrett County.

So western Maryland is still very Republican once you are west of Frederick.

Of course this is a direct challenge to federal immigration law...but with the city council not yet commenting on the proposal this isn’t a settled matter by any means.

He also wanted illegals The Right To Vote...saying.....”The question we’re not going to be asking them (illegals) is ‘are you a United States citizens or not.’ We’re going to ask them ‘are you a resident of the city of Frederick,’”
