rogressive governors of the blue states of California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts have vowed to resist or fight against Trump 2.0. New Jersey governor Murphy said he would "fight to the death." Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis have formed a nonpartisan group focused on countering "threats of autocracy" and note "they're talking to other Democrats and Republicans about joining the effort, which will have its own staff and researchers." The resistance is focused on climate action, deportations, limiting gun rights, and reproductive freedom.
These efforts are misdirected. The surest sign is that Americans are fleeing from the places these governors and their #Resistence reign—and fleeing to red states where policies like those proposed by Trump have won out. For the past 30 years, progressive policies have fueled a mass exodus of the citizens of California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts, whether with high-, middle-, or blue collar incomes. From 1990 to 2021, net domestic migration fleeing their states has totaled 13 million, as reported by the IRS.
Meanwhile, the red states of Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Arizona, Tennessee, Nevada, and South Carolina have had net in-migration of 13 million over the same period. https://heat.aeihousingcenter.org/migration https://heat.aeihousingcenter.org/migration
Policies fueling this blue state exodus include out-of-control public pensions and other spending, a plethora of ineffective and expensive subsidized housing programs, ineffective public schools, opposition to school choice, high crime, unaffordable housing, excessive taxes of all types, and rising levels of homelessness.
It is no coincidence that these five states are the ones with the highest levels of net out-migration over the last 30 years.

And yet,,Gavin Newsom once said, that more people are moving from Florida to California, than are moving from California to Florida.
Even if somehow that is technically true, that does not explain the large net out migration out of California in recent years.
Illinois is in a doom loop and will continue to be in one as long as governor fat ass and the Chicago democrats run the state. It is so sad that the land of Lincoln has turned into a progressive hell hole.
Those states are likely to depopulate even quicker when Honan gets into it. Get er done before the census in 2030.
Colorado is a destination and as a result it’s deep blue. Perhaps Trump can move all those government offices to states that are already deep blue.
“..It is so sad that the land of Lincoln has turned into a progressive hell hole...”
Much of the same could be said about the land of the Pilgrims.....
Or the “Constitution State”....every time I see one of those CT license plates, I have to just bust out laughing.....
Folks need to stay and fight and make their States great again. Fleeing isn’t going to solve anything.
Yeah, and they should keep their kids in government school and fight. </sarcasm>
It all comes down to the power of the purse. Cancel any and all money for illegals going to these states.
https://www.newsweek.com/map-shows-how-much-undocumented-immigrants-cost-each-state-1868673
California gets almost $23 billion.
Colorado gets $1.44 Billion.
Illinois gets almost $3 Billion
Massachusetts gets $2.2 Billion.
New Jersey gets $4 Billion.
New York gets $7.4 Billion.
Instead, spend this money on American seniors and military personnel.
Fleeing does several good things
It deprives the state of tax dollars
It deprives the state of Congressional representative
It strengthens those things in other places
It tells liberals not everyone agrees with them
It hastens the collapse of the corrupt state.
You can’t fight them legally in many places. They controlall the levers of power. If you don’t want to kill them you can either submit or flee
Here is CT we are now the tampon state—every high school—every boy’s room.
The Founding Fathers would never have believed it was possible.
And, from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (Fair):
• At the start of 2023, the net cost of illegal immigration for the United States – at the federal, state, and local levels – was at least $150.7 billion.
• FAIR arrived at this number by subtracting the tax revenue paid by illegal aliens – just under $32 billion – from the gross negative economic impact of illegal immigration, $182 billion.
• In 2017, the estimated net cost of illegal migration was approximately $116 billion. In just 5 years, the cost to Americans has increased by nearly $35 billion.
• Illegal immigration costs each American taxpayer $1,156 per year ($957 after factoring in taxes paid by illegal aliens).
• Each illegal alien or U.S.-born child of illegal aliens costs the U.S. $8,776 annually.
• Evidence shows that tax payments by illegal aliens cover only around a sixth of the costs they create at all levels in this country.
• A large percentage of illegal aliens who work in the underground economy frequently avoid paying any income tax at all.
• Many illegal aliens actually receive a net cash profit through refundable tax credit programs.

Great freeper piece that compares Trump to Lincoln - best read this year.
America under utilizes our greatest resource - the Aleutian islands. All prisons should be moved there, and all worthless government bureaucrat jobs should be moved there as well.
Blue state governors are guilty of insurrection. They cannot defy federal law. Trump should arrest them.
Immigrants and welfare recipients will fill the vacuum. Then like China, they will put them to work as slaves to qualify for their checks and food. It is their plan to emulate the wonderful country of China.
Most (2/3 to 3/4) of the people leaving blue states & resettling in red states are conservatives (usually even to the right of their new states population). There are only a few red states pushed left by newcomers (more because of demographic specialties than ideology).
Virginia was conservative, but moved left because of its proximity to DC & federal bureaucracy settling in north VA (Trump still won 46%. New Hampshire moved from right to center because of lefty Massachusetts abandoning the mess they created in their home state & decided to torture conservative New Hampshirites (Trump still won 49%).
Perhaps the most prominent one has been Colorado. Most likely due to natural beauty, it’s attracted younger, enviornment centered modern day hippies & made Colorado a legitimately left leaning state (Trump only won ?/43%).
Georgia & North Carolina have barely moved to the center & only due to black migration & light suburbanization. Arizona has barely moved to the center as well, mostly due to retirees & hispanics & light suburbanization.
In each of these 3 states, all are still considered relatively conservative, but possible for a Democrat to win occasionally- if he can cobble together a coalition that’s big enough to outvote each states majority conservatives & if enough conservatives decide not to turn out & vote. Democrats h a ve only been able to win elections there by less than 1% & with a sizeable portion of conservatives not energized to vote come election day.
Every other state affected has continued to move right with in migration- miraculously. Florida, the wider south, the sunbelt, Texas. People were talking about Texas moving to the center. He’ll no! Trump won Texas & Florida by double digits. Now with him making inroads with black & hispanic men, that’s likely going to prevent Democrats from winning the southern states & will likely continue to move Virginia to the right.
However, I’m not convinced that the blue hellholes-CA, NY, NJ are going to remain with Democrats. I was shocked: Trump won 45% of NJ & 40+%of NY & CA & IL. In fact the states that have moved furthest right in these last elections are those blue metropolis. 😉
A LOT of those things require an honest census.
