Who is this?
Read the article to find out.
Yesterday, I was assured by the media that Trump’s AG pick was Kelly Loeffler from Georgia.
The media has been assuring us that he has picked one person or another for various positions. For the most part they have been entirely wrong every time.
The question is whether Trump is snooping out a leaker, or the media is just making stuff up to make their readers think they are ‘in the know’.
To us rural Western folk, on-the-ground FFA and 4H experience beats any old Ivy League degree. Good pick.
I hope she will take care of the Amish in PA that Shapiro is trying to shut down.
Announcement of Brooke Rollins as Agriculture Secretary: President-elect Donald Trump announced Brooke Rollins as his pick for Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, highlighting her commitment to supporting American farmers, food self-sufficiency, and revitalizing agriculture-dependent small towns.
Rollins’ Background:
CEO of the America First Policy Institute, closely tied to Trump’s transition team. Vocal supporter of Trump’s "America First" vision. Former White House Domestic Policy Council director under Trump.
Previous president of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, a conservative think tank, for 15 years. Rollins’ Consideration for Other Roles:
Previously considered for White House Chief of Staff but withdrew due to potential conflicts with Susie Wiles, who was ultimately chosen. Expressed interest in the Agriculture Secretary role, which she discussed with Trump earlier in the week. Trump’s Endorsement: Trump praised Rollins’ dedication to protecting American farmers, calling them the "backbone" of the country.
Controversy Over the Appointment:
CNN reported Kelly Loeffler, a businesswoman and former Georgia senator, was also in discussions for the role. Trump delayed announcing the Agriculture pick after naming other positions, raising speculation about Loeffler’s candidacy.
Role of the Department of Agriculture: The department oversees 29 agencies and nearly 100,000 employees, focusing on agriculture, natural resources, rural development, and nutrition.
Significance of the Role: The appointment is critical, especially as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the incoming Secretary of Health and Human Services, has expressed plans to influence the agriculture industry.

Early Life and Education: Born on April 10, 1972, in Glen Rose, Texas, Rollins graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Development. She was the first female student body president at the university. She later earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Texas School of Law.
Legal Practice: After law school, Rollins worked at Hughes & Luce, LLP in Dallas and clerked for U.S. Federal District Court Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn.
Public Service: She served as Deputy General Counsel, Ethics Advisor, and Policy Director for Texas Governor Rick Perry. Texas Public Policy Foundation: From 2003 to 2018, Rollins was President and CEO of this Austin-based think tank, expanding it from a small organization to a staff of 100. Trump Administration: In 2018, she joined the White House as Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives, overseeing the Office of American Innovation. She later served as Acting Director of the Domestic Policy Council, playing a key role in the passage of the First Step Act, a significant criminal justice reform.
America First Policy Institute: After leaving the White House, Rollins became President and CEO of this nonprofit think tank, promoting policies aligned with Trump's agenda.
Nomination as Secretary of Agriculture: On November 23, 2024, President-elect Trump nominated Rollins to lead the Department of Agriculture, citing her commitment to supporting American farmers and revitalizing rural communities.
Rollins' extensive experience in policy development and her background in agricultural development position her to lead the Department of Agriculture effectively.
Seems like a home run to me...
WINNING !
No President Trump, I’m not getting tired of winning..ha
To us rural Western folk, on-the-ground FFA and 4H experience beats any old Ivy League degree. Good pick.

I enrolled my 10 yo Ukrainian neighbor in 4-H. She wanted a horse. It’s blast. And the kids in 4-H are well spoken, kind and smart. I wish I was in 4-H back in the day...
I even got to brush a horse and walk it. We are the hoofless members.
It did say Kelly was the pick. Mayne he changed his mind.
Hot babe. 36-28-36.
A person who has an academic degree and knows ABOUT farming, rather than knowing farming.
I would be more focused on what she accomplished while on the Domestic Policy Council and Office of American Innovation. Perhaps there are agricultural initiatives, food safety, or domestic farmer programs that she implemented.
If Trump admin is looking for an agricultural leader, Sid Miller or Tom Massie would be great. I guess the upside is she knows Trump and he trusts her.
Aren’t there any men that want or are qualified for these jobs?
Seems like most of these openings are going to women. Not a good sign, IMO.
I feel like they are stretching the agriculture part of her background. I read this as she was a 4-H mom and volunteer leader, helped her kids show cattle, and earned an undergrad degree in ag. A bit light to lead the USDA.

I was expecting him to pick someone whose qualifications were they had shopped at a farmer’s market once or had eaten grits with Sonny Perdue; a Loeffler type. This pick far exceeds my expectations.
My son has done some work for her and was saying she is definitely a winner.
My thought exactly. Had enough of the blonde bimbos being announced. Where are the MEN?
As a rural Texan who was raised on a ranch, and married to a ranch boy Aggie for 20 years, I like this...
