Flynn, who served as President-elect Donald Trump's first National Security Advisor, said there does not appear to be any communication between Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin on how to move forward.
Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn on Friday said there needs to be more communication between the White House and Russia, in order to de-escalate tension between the two countries after Ukraine fired multiple U.S.-made long range missiles into Russian territory this week.
President Joe Biden gave Ukraine the green light to launch U.S.-made missiles into Russia over the weekend, which Russia warned could lead to a third world war. The decision to approve the use of American-made weapons did not appear to be shared with the incoming presidential administration, according to Flynn.
Flynn, who served as President-elect Donald Trump's national security advisor in his first term, said there does not appear to be any communication between Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin on how to move forward.
"This is not a time to point blame. This is a time to be really, really calm and steady and understand what's happening here," Flynn said on the "Just The News, No Noise" TV show. "This is a time when everybody really needs to take a deep breath. Cool heads do need to prevail, and there has to be communications lines opening up diplomatically to slow things down here, otherwise, we're going to go into a very, very dangerous phase of war here."
Flynn said Russia has already demonstrated that it can fire a nuclear capable missile and reminded the public that World War I also began with a regional conflict.

P
We’re screwed then.
I wouldn’t be surprised if DJT was quietly in touch with Putin.
Just stop lobbing long-range missiles into Russia.
I was thinking the same thing. 😃
He and Elon have been incommunicado for several days. I have no doubt that's what they are up to. Keeping it quiet to avoid Logan Act nonsense.

Thanks, Poindexter.
Michael Flynn’s right. Cooler heads is an understatement - with Biden we don’t even have a functioning head. What an idiot.
Wish Trump could take over sooner...

It can be used both ways.
I see your point, Putin and Elon are not incommunicado however they want their discussions to be incommunicado to others to prevent activation of Logan Act.
That lesson was invaluable.
“He and Elon have been incommunicado for several days. I have no doubt that’s what they are up to. Keeping it quiet to avoid Logan Act nonsense.”
Agree and think like wise!
Trump never plays his hand out loud unless intentionally to just drive the D.C. Swamp MAD! HA!
When it’s about Security for US, Trump keeps this close to the vest!
Good post and thanks!
No communication between Biden and Putin.
How strange that our demented President does not communicate with a foreign superpower that he started a war with.
A homo war at that.
Thanks.
