Chuck Schumer just confirmed another lifelong federal judge by a vote of 50-49 because Republican Senator Mike Braun did not show up to vote.
This judge will now forever serve on the D.C. court.
Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona is voting with the Republicans to block the nomination, and Kamala Harris is out of town and can't cast the tie-breaking vote. Yet we still can't get Republicans to stand up and fight.

The House has its own issue as well with the artificial limited number of congressmen imposed. That should be addressed also.
Wouldn’t have mattered, not defending Braun, but if the vote had been 50/50 Harris would have cast the tie breaking vote.

Braun just won the race for Governor so I guess he doesn’t think he has to show up in the senate any more. Another Pence republican in Indiana.
Braun just got elected governor and is probably extremely busy setting up his administration.

My gosh this is the third radical life appointed judge to the bench. This is getting scary because I am telling you just like in New York Pennsylvania all these other crucial states the radical judges are going to come and bite Trump and the Republicans in the ass down the road. Is there a group that watches these activist judges and keeps track of their opinions? Does anyone ever investigate anti- Constitutional decisions? I know Tom Fitton does a lot of work in this area, but he doesn’t post such findings- he just heads to court.
RINOS are just democrats who work with the ‘RATs to try and convince the people that there are two competing parties.
Remember, a lot of them are up for re-election in 2026 and they should be primaried to hell.

I believe appointments only require a majority vote. No 60 votes to stop a filibuster.
