In a recent television interview, prospective Trump administration border "czar" Tom Homan said that state officials will be liable to federal prosecution if they actively impede federal agents in the enforcement of immigration law — including apprehending and detaining illegal aliens.
In context, Homan was being asked about Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, who has vowed that the city would protect non-citizens in "every possible way" from the Trump administration’s plans for large-scale deportations.
Homan made clear that the feds would not attempt to commandeer state and city officials. He acknowledged that such officials have no duty to help federal immigration agents. But they may not interfere with the agents in the execution of their duties or take affirmative steps to conceal or shield illegal immigrants from federal law enforcement.
Homan is right about this.

Yup. And if they try to interfere they should be charged and detained themselves. Let’s see if any of these big-talk Dems like Wu and Prickster are willing to do jail time for “their people”.
All nice until they file a lawsuit in federal court where Obama/Biden have appointed the most judges, who issues a nation wide injunction blocking the executive action.

Yes.
For example they will be accessories to rape or murder in cases where the illegal alien they protect commits crimes.
Obama judge can rule all they want that they don’t have to cooperate.
Don’t cooperate, be accessory to crimes.
Then they can either ignore it, like biden does.
Or they can appeal it and turn it over.
No judge should have that kind of absolute, unlimited power. They were not elected to any position and any one person should not be able to impose their opinion or worldview on the whole rest of the country of 300 million people.
It makes a complete mockery of the democracy democrats claim they are championing and negates the rule of law.
Arrest the judges and charge them too.
