Many supporters of Donald Trump will die sooner than the elites they hate, author David Brooks writes in his essay for The Atlantic — “How the Ivy League Broke America” — and it’s by design.
“The diploma divide is driving American politics,” Brooks writes in a newsletter to promote his piece. “Donald Trump surged back into power with the support of millions of high-school-educated voters who are furious at the college-educated elite.”
He adds: “High-school-educated people die eight years younger than college-educated people, on average.

And I'm more educated than the sum total of his fluff degree.
So maybe this retard Brooks should just STFU.
The nitwit lefties are really desperate to find something positive about their anti-social, unproductive, caustic, truly worthless existence. LOL! More popcorn.
Imagine that at one time The Atlantic was a great magazine. Two decades ago.
Is this the guy with the pant-crease fetish?
Poor David Brooks.
His fantasy world is disintegrating, and he’s trying to deal with it.
True.
The solution: Redefine intelligence, de-emphasize success in school, un-rig the system, and break up the meritocracy, which is tearing apart the country. Uh...what? That sounds like Critical Race Theory dressed up to appeal to MAGA.
Ridiculous! I’m a college educated white woman and I would never vote for that communist thot Kamala. I don’t drink box chardonnay either.
Yeah, but they’ll have ten times more kids than the idiocrats with college degrees.
Just because you don’t like David Brooks doesn’t mean that the like expectancy figures are wrong
Is this part of the “joy” I keep hearing about?
Lol.
Has there been a survey to support the proposed diploma divide? Maybe the ivy league divide but there are many degreed Trump supports even with advanced degrees.
I see this a little differently, those “uneducated” people will be in paradise with the Majestic and Glorious Lord of Creation 8 years earlier than the college educated, who will get 8 more years to find salvation and sadly (I mean this sincerely, sadly) will still deny our Lord and receive eternal damnation.
Way to inflame the class war, nutsack.
“High-school-educated people die eight years younger than college-educated people,”
Interesting.
Who got laid more I wonder?
+1.
That is what is known as a punchable face.
Great post!
True.
But if David Brooks is a ‘tard, it means the possibility that he’s lying or wrong are significantly higher.
Claims about the joys of college education are based on a hilarious fallacy—correlation is not equal to causation.
I guess Brooks flunked his statistics course.
