Judge? Did he waive his right to a jury trial, or is CNN just being CNN, or am I missing something?
He sat there during the trial with this look on his face like “why am I here, I din’ do nothing, I’m just trying to find a better life.”
Ibarra opted for a bench trial. No jury.
The Federal government is an accessory to murder.
That’s a bold move that didn’t work. It could at least make his post conviction efforts a bit more interesting.
CNN is disgusting. They barely touched this until after Nov 5.
send him to Gitmo! The USA probably has a “dead” military base or two to turn into a prison for these thieving murdering bastards.
If their families don’t feed them, they don’t eat but roadkill.
Ibarra's attorney said during his opening remarks that "a lot of people have made money on this, a lot of people have used it to advance their political careers."
He didn't mention that a lot of people have suppressed the story for political reasons too.
He won’t live long in prison.
Is it correct to assume that this, for whatever reason, was NOT a “death penalty-eligible” trial?
I suggest his food be heavily seasoned with rat poison.
Sentence him to 20 minutes alone with any of the victim’s family members and friends who wish to participate, armed with baseball bats, boxcutters and blowtorches.
He waived his right to a jury trial.
Probably to avoid the death penalty
I’m in the car, tuned to Fox and they had commercials. Tuned to CNN and listening live to the family’s heart piercing statements.
I hate the politics on CNN but Fox sucks for news coverage. Always has. I don’t think a good news channel exists in this country.
