Bill Clinton: Dems ‘Can’t Keep Asserting That Things Are Great in the Economy’, That’s Not True

During an interview with NPR released on Tuesday, former President Bill Clinton stated that Democrats “can’t keep asserting that things are great in the economy.” And that while there are some strong aspects to the economy, “we’re saddled with some cost of living challenges — which are not unique to the United States — but it’s pretty hard if you’re out there in the middle of the country and you’re working hard and you’ve got two or three kids and you have to watch every penny you make. And, secondly, the economic benefits of the current recovery have been widely shared where it has stuck. But it takes a while for people everywhere in the country to feel the benefits.”

Clinton may be a sleazy bag, but he is smart.

He understands that the middle of the country is where all the swing states are that elect the POTUS. These people do not own BitCoin or NVIDEA. They probably do not have a 401K. They are blue collar working class. THEY ARE PISSED.

They are pissed because they and their children may never be able to afford a house. They are stuck working for a crappy job. So, they self medicate with Bud and other substances.
They see a lot of young people taking drugs. They know people who have died of overdoses. They are NOT living the American Dream.

Meanwhile, they see illegal immigrants being forced into their communities getting free stuff from the government.
Which makes them even more pissed off.
They have lost HOPE.
