Hugh Hewitt, an establishment media conservative commentator, abruptly departed a live episode Thursday of Washington Post Live’s First Look after its host berated him for recapping election integrity initiatives that were held up in court.
WaPo’s associate editor Jonathan Capehart appeared to be embarrassed by the departure of Hewitt, who called the show “the most unfair election ad I’ve ever been a part of,” implicitly likening it to a campaign ad for Kamala Harris. A recent Gallup poll found Americans’ trust in the media to report current events “fully, accurately and fairly” has plummeted to a record low. Only 31 percent of Americans have a “great deal” or “fair amount” of confidence in the media to tell the truth, one point below its low watermark of 32 percent in 2016 and 2023.
“I just gotta say we’re news people, even though we’re at the opinion section, it’s got to be reported,” Hewitt said, rebutting claims that former President Donald Trump’s election integrity efforts were meant to incite protests.

I wonder if this is a sign that RINOs are beginning to chafe at the bit placed by the communists?
My very first post on FR was about Hugh Hewitt.
To: GEC
Hugh’s flaw is that his absolute, is to be optimistic, regardless of the facts, this isn’t as noticeable when we win elections but after a losing election, when you think back over his analysis it was always positive with a win guaranteed at the end. Rush is an optimist but is no Pollyanna like Hugh. Hugh has a good and useful show and his take on Meier’s hopefully is accurate, my problem is we all knew he would have this response regardless, Hugh is no tough guy.

“Hugh Hewitt, an establishment media conservative commentator,”
Yuge is quite questionable as being a “conservative”, but Good On Him.
The Rinos are beginning to realize they will be in the camps right next to us “garbage.”

"Wow, I blew that." -- Leo Kottke
Even rinos are starting to fight back or maybe pulling publicity stunts.
I saw the video of it. I have to agree with Hugh Hewitt on this. He had the facts and the other two just flat out lied. He up and left while on the air.
Hugh is a “California conservative” which would be a moderate democRAT in most parts of the country. It seems the leftists have left him.
Hewitt finally made it back into the news. The last time I posted about him, it related to his relentless cheerleading for George Bush and the other GOP Establishment types.
Biden and his goons and thugs spent four years going after their political opponents. After us - conservative Americans and our team leaders. Arresting our people, spying on our side, using the FBI to supress our speech on twitter, breaking into middle class homes with SWAT teams, using the legal system to harass them. If Harris is elected it will be thousands of times worse.
So yeah, we laugh about 'camps' but she could easily do this to us... her butt boys in the press would go along with it.
AND TRUMP? The four years he was in office he worked to make the country stronger - he didn't use his office to arrest Biden and his creepy corrupt family. There were ZERO midnight knocks on the doors of democrat operatives... Kamala will say one thing and do the opposite and the stupid bimbos and pretentious 'men' of the press will only look at her words. Because they're corrupt and in bed with intelligence goons who feed the stories to keep their jobs going.

True.
The blank stares after Hugh said it.
I don’t know what connection Leo Kottke has to this article, but the Leo I know of is an expert performer on 12 string acoustic guitar, and he has a deep. resonate voice.
Listen to his cover of “8 Miles High” to see what I mean.
Wow - Hugh did what gamers call “rage quitting”
But he was right - Trump won that lawsuit, so obviously what he claimed was validated by the Court. Leaving that fact out so you can claim Trump is just engaging in a conspiracy theory is lying by omission. Period.
