Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign took former President Donald Trump’s words out of context, to suggest that he was calling for Liz Cheney to be put before a firing squad.
Her campaign posted a video of Trump speaking to Tucker Carlson on X/Twitter, with a caption that paraphrased him:

If the left didn’t lie, they would have nothing to say. By now, probably a huge percentage of Kamala supporters think that it was Trump himself who made the comment about Puerto Rico and garbage, not a comedian who was at MSG about five hours before Trump spoke.
I still want the person who hired that comedian to be fired. Trump says he fires people who do a bad job and it was a bad job hiring that guy. Trump has never had an insult in comedian at any of his rallies.
Nevertheless he needs to watch his words especially at this late date.
They have given him great momentum. Don’t hand them anything stick to the economy, illegal immigration, and today’s jobs report and revisions.
