More stolen Valor from Tim Walz.
After listening to Tim Walz brag about how he is such a skilled shooter, I decided to look if he was an Expert Marksman in the military. It turns out he doesn't even have a marksmanship badge at all or authorized to wear one, but wore one on his Class A uniform anyway.
In the Army or National Guard soldiers are required to qualify with their M-4 rifle or M-16. The qualification course is made up of 40 targets ranging from 50 meters-300 meters popping up randomly. You are given 2- 20 rd magazines totaling 40 rds. Soldiers are required to qualify once a year to keep their current status.
Marksman- Hit 23-29 out of 40.
Sharpshooter- Hit 30-35 out of 40.
Expert- Hit 36-40 out of 40. ( not easy).
Its no surprise Tim Walz decided to pick the Expert Marksmanship badge since its not easy to get. See the pics below, I used my own DD 214 to show you what its suppose to look like if you are authorized to wear one. See how Tim Walz awards are listed but it does not have any marksmanship badges awarded? Then it says nothing follows, that means he doesn't have a continuation on awards to a new block ( for more room) like mine does. NGB22 should mirror the DD214 so it should look like mine. I find it extremely disrespectful to soldiers who actually earned their awards.
Look below in the comments for the 3 types of Marksmanship badges the Army awards you.
He is one sorrya a** human.
“he doesn’t even have a marksmanship badge at all”
I wonder how long he was in? That means every six months for his whole career he bolo’d? Or maybe he bolo’d his last trip to the range and lost it?
It ain’t easy to get Expert, but it also ain’t easy to bolo.
I was never in the military, but isn’t that a crime?
Out of curiosity, can you use an optic or are the badges based solely on iron sights shooting?
My DD214 lists my “expert” with my M-16 and “marksman” with the .45.
I can’t imagine that someone could be in any kind of military and not be required to qualify.
At least no-balls Walz is consistent.

I don’t know how it is now, but in 69 when I qualified Expert, it was just sights.
Let me add, if my memory serves me well.
For me always expert and always open sights, in basic it was even a worn out AR-15.
Be careful with assumptions.
The info may not be available, but any/all soldiers must have marksman | sharpshooter | expert. You don’t get out of basic otherwise.
One of those three are in his records... somehwhere.
I know a Marine who holds the Quantico Range Record for iron sights on the M-14, 36 straight bullseyes at 300 yards!
I can barely even see the bullseye at 300 yards!
Skilled at shooting through a glory hole.
They were all worn out in basic.
I went through basic in '83. My M-16 was Vietnam era.
Probably worn out before it got to Ft. Dix.
Worn out AR-15.
______________
Feeling a bit old right now. I had the M-14 in basic and the first rifle I was issued in VN. I actually liked that rifle.
What’s not to like...:)
Harris and Walz- both phonies…
The people of Minnasota should be embarrassed ,to have this fag /Pedo as their Governor .
Action is open Tim.
