Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the high voter turnout in Georgia’s early voting did not disprove charges of voter suppression.
Partial transcript as follows:
MARGARET BRENNAN: Senator, we have seen incredible turnout at the polls in Georgia so far. On Friday, though, Vice President Harris spoke about attacks on the freedom to vote, and she specifically referenced the state of Georgia. As you know, the Department of Justice and the state had been fighting going all the way back to 2021 about some state laws that the Justice Department said denied or abridged the right of black Georgians to vote on account of their race or color. The Justice Department did not win that case. Do you think that the Vice President’s continued comments could backfire here in terms of discouraging people from showing up to vote?

Name one.
The proof of voter suppression will be if the dems lose Georgia. /s
Hey ralphee, STFU. My contempt-o-meter is off scale high with this assclown.
Yes.
Yes, it does.
“The proof of voter suppression will be if the dems lose Georgia”
In the Dem mind, that’s fact, not sarcasm.
Lots of blacks are really sick of the race hustling that implies they are stupid.
Weaponizing the lack of any real evidence
Amazing how socialists work
You know most guys don’t report their women for abuse to police, that also doesn’t mean its not going on in significant numbers
Yet democrats and women will claim this (lack of evidence) proves men are more violent and are the aggressors
So when it doesn’t support them they say “it doesn’t mean its not happening”, when it does support their beliefs they claim its not happening
They can’t. This dude is a complete fraud.
The dems are not upset at voter suppression. They are upset that illegal voters are being suppressed.
Yes voter suppression can be personally applied when the voter sees no compelling reason to vote. However, that is far different than forced suppression, or intimidation induced suppression. So, you are using the word suppression as always being obtained through nefarious acts or measures, which is just a BS claim, unless you can cite examples of nefarious suppression. Because the biggest form of voter suppression is that of the self induced variety.
Remember the olden days when ppl showed up to vote on Election Day and nobody cared if you didn’t vote because that meant you were either too dumb to remember how or when to vote or you just didn’t want to participate? Life was so much simpler before community activists and social justice warriors became an actual thing.
This fetish with getting every feeble-minded know nothing to vote really got started with the Motor Voter law under Clinton. And the republicans have been there every step of the way. I’m with you: if you’re too uninformed, stupid or apathetic to haul your ass to the polls, I don’t want you voting
Plumbing leak that never happened, sheets of Styrofoam over windows as votes were counted (manufactured) in Fulton County and only Dems doing the counting doesn’t count either, I suppose.
Clown. Blacks voted at higher rates than Whites. Nobody but hardcore Leftists buys this “voter suppression” crap.
High turnout all around is the very definition of a lack of voter suppression. What a brilliant mind this Warnok has.
You see lines of people snaking around the block to vote. The only voter suppression is that it takes too long to vote. I have a lefty attorney friend who goes to watch voting to “prevent voter suppression”—she is so silly to think that there is voter suppression of leftist voters. If anything, it is the other way around.
He may have a point: Massive vote fraud of the democrat variety is a form of suppressing legitimate votes, but try getting this guy to acknowledge that truth.
