Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) claimed Friday during an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones that Dominion Voting Systems software was “switching” votes in her district from Republican candidates to Democratic Party candidates. After Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, many of his allies on the right made similar claims, which were roundly debunked and in part led to Dominion winning 787 million dollars from Fox News in a defamation lawsuit.
Greene was back at spreading the claim on Friday, sharing a social media post from a self-described GOP voter who claimed they voted early for her and former President Donald Trump had their vote switched to the Democrats after they received a paper copy of the ballot. Greene told Jones:

Dominion Voting Machines are not voting machines but really vote assignment machines ?
My wife had her vote switched and she changed it twice and she called the poll worker over to see what was going on and it went through on the third time. If a person doesn’t review their picks, she could’ve walked out of there thinking she’d voted what she wanted. But it took three tries to correct it. How come we only hear of it switching one way and not the other?
I like the voting machines here in Indiana. You vote electronically, yes, but a printed readout of your vote is also kept.
“...How come we only hear of it switching one way and not the other?...”
Well, it’s the “golden rule”.
He who holds the gold makes the rules. /s
The problem there, is that it can register as one thing, but print out something totally different.
I hope Dominion voting machines aren’t being used to count mail-in votes.
I’m in her district. I voted this morning, 10/18. The voting machine did not switch any of my selections.
“many of his allies on the right made similar claims, which were roundly debunked”
This is the left’s mantra. But when you ask them “just out of curiosity, which author/article debunked this, and what were their main critiques?” Your leftist debate partner will quickly change the subject.
Is never too late for Republicans to beat themselves.
Exactly. Upstate NY, except for the “safe” counties of Albany & Erie all had Dominion Vote Scammers. I went to my polling place in 2020 and 2022 and copied 10 WiFi “Hotspots,” and they were the same in both years. The institution in which the polling place was located did not have WiFi in that room.
“The voting machine did not switch any of my selections.”
You absolutely don’t/can’t know that for sure. What occurs in a computer after you walk away is a mystery. (And there was proof of that happening in 2020.)
“There’s many a slip between the cup and the lip.”
Using the left’s own logic, “it’s the seriousness of the charge”.
“The problem there, is that it can register as one thing, but print out something totally different.”
Nope, in GA the voting machine prints out a paper ballot with the names and your choices on various issues. You walk the paper ballot over and feed the ballot into a tabulator located across the room by the exit. The tabulator displays a message if it has procesed your ballot ok.
Not saying the tabulator couldn’t be fiddled with, but in GA the voting machine doesn’t record the vote, a separate tabulator does that.
By saying this on Alex Jones she is protecting the Democrats.
Let’s ask Tucker Carlson about Dominion and Smartmatic.
Oh and Broome County has gone with vote scammers from Clear Vote Inc. They are WiFi connected, too.
Well, again.
The voting machine prints out a paper ballot which you then review to make sure it’s printed out the selections you’ve made. You feed the paper ballot into a separate tabulator lcoated across the room that counts the votes.
In my case the paper ballot I got from the voting machine was correct. Now if some nefarious Dem fiddled with the tabulator, that I don’t know. But I do know the voting machine printed out the selections I made.
I always take a photo of my ballot before turning it in, that way I have proof I didn’t incorrectly fill it out.
