I was wondering when someone would post this. I just did some background digging for a sketch of the picture.

Just like HAL, the all seeing and all controlling computer in "2001 A Space Odyssey", the monstrosity of the Federal Government will not allow itself to be injured or even threatened. Many or most politicians are only the devil's handmaids and not the real problem, maybe confused about what they are preserving but not at all confused about their power and money the devil gives them in return. The real problem is the massive beast that the Federal Government has become. In my opinion, Executive Orders have become another means to authorized dictatorship and the Federal Monstrosity has taken full advantage of them and anything else it can find for legitimacy to preserve itself. Our beef is not really with politicians, it is with this Government. It has become too broad and too powerful taking on omnipresent and ominous lifelike form becoming "They" and preserved and protected by legions of henchmen that remind me of so many of the little flying monkeys who serve the Wicked Witch of the West in "Wizard of Oz". It is not really the demoncraps that oppose Trump, it is this Government.

In just a few words, DoD Directive 5240.01 has now been modified to include use of deadly force against citizens. Only under the "strictest" of oversight and control mind you.

This revision was signed September 27, 2024 by Kathleen Hicks, Deputy Secretary of DoD. Just doing her job of course by making things more clear and protecting all of us the best way she knows how.

It authorizes mobilization of the military and their use of deadly force in the event of "national emergency" by-passing Congress and the Posse Comatatus Act.

It claims to be authorized by E.O. 12333 signed by none other than Ronald Reagan in December 1981 and by E.O. 13388 by George Bush in October of 2005. All neat, tidy and legal and by Republican Presidents. Both of these orders seem to have been only about national intelligence sharing. Odd how that becomes authorization for this new interpretation isn't it? I'm sure some legal minds have it all justified though.

Equally all neat, tidy and legal this is public information posted in the Federal Register.

Not much to be done about it, just thought you'd like to know when Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 has now been rendered pretty much insignificant if in fact you thought it mattered much at all anyway. We probably shouldn't be concerned at all though, this is by the government and is for our protection of course.

The timing of this does seem a little strange to me though. Probably just coincidence. There are a few people who appear to be pretty concerned about this including one Congresscritter from Maryland. What is Projection anyway? The democraps seem to do a lot of it while telling us what they plan to do themselves.

How this came to this guy's attention so quickly is something else to wonder about. The action by DoD has also attracted the attention of the Federation of American Scientists if that source has more credibility to you.

Interesting how 3.2 is confined to intelligence activities and assistance but 3.3 goes on to authorize force and then goes on to describe such force in DoDD 5210.56 which is all about Arming and Use of Force. Pretty hard to avoid the conclusion the authorization is for deadly force against any deemed threat isn't it? Notice the dates of this DoDD. Just before Trump and updated just after fjb was elected. Another odd coincidence. Just for the record, I have never believed there is any such thing as coincidence.

• Implements Section 1585 of Title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.), which authorizes civilian officers and employees of the DoD to carry firearms or other appropriate weapons while assigned investigative duties or such other duties as prescribed by the Secretary of Defense.

• Provides requirements, authorizations, and restrictions on carrying firearms and the use of force to protect DoD installations, property, and personnel, and to enforce law and order in accordance with DoD Instruction (DoDI) 5200.08 and DoD 5200.08-R.

• Implements Section 2672 of Title 10, U.S.C., Section 926A of Title 18, U.S.C., and Section 526 of Public Law 114-92 (“the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016”), and authorizes DoD Components to arm DoD personnel qualified under Sections 926B and 926C of Title 18, U.S.C., when related to the performance of official duties.
