Harris to Colbert: ‘I’m obviously not Joe Biden … I’m not Donald Trump’

Vice President Harris sought to distance herself from President Biden and former President Trump late Tuesday when asked whether a potential Harris administration would represent change during an appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

Colbert said voters want the 2024 White House race to be a change election, asking the vice president what the major changes would be under her administration if she’s elected, and what would stay the same.

“I’m obviously not Joe Biden,” Harris replied.

“So that would be one change … but also, I think it’s important to say, with 28 days to go, I’m not Donald Trump,” she added.

The Democratic presidential nominee then went on to describe her economic plan, unveiled earlier this year, which she calls an effort to create an “opportunity economy.”

Earlier in the day, Harris made an appearance on ABC’s “The View” and was asked whether she would have done something differently during the Biden administration.

It will remain little. Biden remains figurehead, and he or Jill will cross you if you step over the line. Harris doesn't have the skill to negotiate these questions with finesse. If I were a Democrat and was asked that (horrors!),

I would say something like the following: A Harris presidency would be different from a Biden presidency by necessity. Biden shepherded us out of the COVID pandemic, lowered the temperature of the rhetoric, came up with solutions to problems in a split Senate that actually turned into laws. For those things we should be grateful. Now we are seeing new opportunities that didn't exist in 2020, including exciting new battery technologies and bio-engineering breakthroughs, which I will be well positioned to promote. The simple fact that I would be a fresh face will give me an opportunity to bring a new voice to international affairs where we defend freedom and democracy. That is something Trump cannot do.



It would be BS, but it would pretend to make a distinction without insulting Biden or his legacy (spit!).

Ms. Harris is such a stupid woman. Of course she is not Biden or Trump. She is a woman, but I forget to take into consideration that Democrats do not comprehend the difference between men and women. She embarrasses me for my gender every time she opens her mouth. Now, that smacks of intentional shaming me as I have to endure the insipid Tim Walz as my governor. That is a mile too far for me.
