Traffic was shut down on Interstate 65 in Autauga County[Alabama] Friday afternoon after a chase involving a woman wanted in a shooting in Texas, officials said.
The chase and standoff started after the woman taken into custody in Autauga County allegedly shot someone when she pursued her ex-boyfriend to the Bellaire, Texas police station, officials said.
According to Bellaire police , dispatchers received a 911 call at 2:30 a.m. Friday on a report of a woman in a Mercedes SUV following a group of individuals in a Ford truck.
The occupants of the Ford reported that the female was the ex-girlfriend of a passenger and was believed to be armed with a pistol.
The Ford truck arrived in front of the Bellaire Police Department at 5110 Jessamine in the apparent hope of avoiding a confrontation with the female, police officials there said.
As two Bellaire police officers in marked patrol cars arrived to meet with the occupants of the Ford, the female suspect circled around to the passenger side of the truck and fired several shots at the front seat passenger.

She was later seen in AL and Alabama police used spike strips to stop her car. Then there was some sort of standoff.
“A woman”
That’s a hell of a description.....and you know what that probably means
My friend who lives near where this happened told me that this was believed to be a hostage situation possibly involving a child. I didn’t see that in the article so we’ll see if it comes out later. My friend is well connected and I swear she knows everyone in a three county wide area...lol
“hostage situation possibly involving a child.”
That was reported as a rumor early on but proved to not be true as far as the incident that played out in Alabama.
There’s an appalling lack of information about this *woman*.
Who she, or he, really is, if they are here legally, etc.
I’m sure all that will come out. Just happened today in AL and last night 2:30 am in TX.

Earlier story there said hostage situation. Update appears to dispute that now.
Tks. Some closeup video of the perp
Hard to say. A woman scorned and all; a TEXAS woman scorned -— whoo boy!
Protip: if you’re going to have a shootout, choose a location other than outside a police station.
Her ex drive to the police station hoping he would be safe there, the crazy woman follows him and starts shooting anyway.
I read that some in Texas were ticked off that she got away from the police over there and it took AL police to catch her. Hard to criticize without all the details. Crazy saga
