Millions of Christians not planning to vote this November, could shape election: Study
Millions of Christians in the United States indicated in a study released on Monday that they are not likely to vote in the upcoming election this November, signaling a potential problem for the Republican Party.
Just over half of interviewees (51%) in a Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University study, who identified as "people of faith," responded that they are likely to vote in the presidential election between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. The "people of faith" label is given to those who identify with a recognized religion, such as Christianity, Judaism, Mormonism or Islam.
The study found that approximately 104 million people under the "people of faith" umbrella are not expected to vote this election, including 41 million born-again Christians and 32 million who regularly go to church.
"I see two huge take-aways from this blockbuster report," Len Munsil, President of Arizona Christian University and a former Republican nominee for Arizona governor, said in a news release shared with Just The News. "First, that Christians could be the deciding factor in a bunch of federal and state races – and are choosing not to be. And second, that they are longing for their local church to instruct them on how to think biblically about policy and politics.
"They don't want to be told how to vote, but they do want to know why they should vote, and how to view political issues from a biblical framework," he added.
The research also revealed some of the reasons that the Christians are not planning to vote in November, including a lack of interest in politics (68%), a dislike in both major party candidates (57%), and a belief that their vote will not make a difference (52%). A smaller percentage (48%) believe that the election results will be manipulated.
“The 32 million Christians who regularly attend church services but are not likely to vote represent a far larger margin than the combined number of votes that decided the 2020 election in key battleground states," the study's lead researcher Dr. George Barna said. “If church leaders, family members, and close friends will use their influence to get reticent voters from their churches to cast a ballot on November 5, the election outcome will be meaningfully affected.”
The research was conducted in two phases in August and September, which polled a combined total of 3,000 respondents. The first survey, conducted from Aug. 26 through Sept. 6, polled 2,000 adult self-identified Christians who attended church at least once a month, and had a three point margin of error.
The second poll, which was conducted Sept. 18-22, questioned 1,000 adults over the age of 18 and had a four point margin of error.
Either these people truly honestly don't care what kamala would do to this country and believe it will not affect them, or they are low IQ. Stop looking for a "perfect" candidate that you agree with 100%. Not going to happen.
Just one issue alone...SCOTUS. - they'll do more than simply talk about packing the Supreme Court, they will actually do it. Imagine the "decisions" coming out of a SCOTUS with 6 or 10 more ultra leftist justices. If they are concerned about moral issues like abortion or transgender stuff, forget about it. harris, the scotus and a more leftist congress will nationalize it in law and scotus upholding it. It would take an actual Constitutional amendment to get rid of it (& the packed SCOTUS).
They need education on the import of voting?
They may just get it.
And from 3,000 they deduced MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of Christians are not likely to vote.
BUL S***
What’s their problem? This stupid article goes on and on
If they allow by the sin of omission for the Dems to take over they are promoting what the Dems plan to do.
“The research asked people who indicated they were not likely to vote to explain the reasons for that choice. The most common reason, offered by two-thirds of the non-voters (68%), was a lack of interest in politics and elections.”
That seems bizarre and wrong to me
FAKE
Or they think God will save them from the affairs of the world, so they need not concern themselves with things like elections.
There is a strong "They're all crooks!" sentiment running through many Americans with conservative inclinations. Especially those who get their information on Trump from MSM sources.
It’s just a study.
Who knows who put it out and who cares, I don’t think it’s valid at all. Some random man made a study published it and now we are supposed to believe it?
I don’t understand how any Christian can sit on the sidelines and allow Harris to take control of the country.
I do NOT want to hear “but Trump isn’t nice” or “ Trump has had loose morals”.
David was nowhere near perfect but God used him.
Don’t assume these “Christians” are all Republican. There are Democrat Christians (barely) too. Trump is anathema to them but maybe they don’t think Kamala is fit to be president either.
Difficult for me to believe....*very* difficult.
Perhaps this group not planning to vote believes as I do, that 2020 was the year of the profound and extreme Voter Fraud in the USA, and that the main perpetrators have gone unnamed and unpunished. Perhaps they don’t see the GOP doing enough to prevent a reoccurrence in 2024. I get the frustration, but it’s all we have to work with right now.
The goal should be that so many of us vote conservative, we override the expected degree of voter fraud which will happen anyway. I say, think positive and submit your vote in good faith. Whatever the outcome, you will know that you did your part to prevent America from sinking any further into that dreaded 3rd World dystopia.
Either they think a miracle is coming to save them or they are trying to help force the rapture ASAP.
They are going to help throw it away with irrationality.
If this is true, they are fools.
I’ve heard this before, however, and the movers and shakers in the MAGA movement are busily trying to get these people registered.
Same goes for gun owners. Scott Presler, the guy in the black shorts who spoke at the Butler rally, once said 300,000 to 500,000 gun owners in Pennsylvania are not registered to vote.
He moved to Pennsylvania and is very busy registering people. He is doing an amazing job.
Scott Presler also said that if every gun owner and hunter in Wisconsin would vote, Wisconsin would be a permanent red state.
Trump himself quoted someone’s figure that 14% of the evangelicals register to vote.
See how they like it when Walz and Kamala bring in the same attitudes toward religion that the Chinese Communists have.
“Religious Affairs Regulations” must be followed.
No children allowed in church at any time.
Photos of Christ or Mary have to be equal to ones of Xi and other leaders. In some homes ripped down and replaced by ones of Xi. Video cameras in all churches to make sure of identity of Christians attending services.
People taken to police stations and suffering from threats or having their professional accreditation or business licenses taken away if they promote secret Christian services in the so called “underground church.”
And newly printed Bibles with certain changed passages to promote Communism as if the Bible did that.
As Pew Research reported in 2023:
“ China is pursuing a policy of “Sinicization” that requires religious groups to align their doctrines, customs and morality with Chinese culture.”
Enjoy. /S

Absolutely, because THERE WILL NEVER BE A NEXT TIME.
Or just maybe they’re telling politicians, “You can’t count on my vote by just claiming to be a Christian.”
