This letter is in response to the Sept. 14 article "Pope slams both Harris, Trump as 'against life.'" The article gives this quote from Pope Francis: "Both are against life, be it the one who kicks out migrants, or be it the one who kills babies."
In no way are these two actions equivalent in their disregard for human life. Abortion, nearly a million each year in the U.S. alone, destroys the entire lifetimes for unborn children who, for the most part, would have been people like you and me, and without doubt they would have included many people who would have contributed greatly to humanity. The notion that abortion decisions are best handled by the mothers and their doctors certainly hasn't worked well for the millions killed, often for very shallow reasons.

The ONLY “migrants” President Trump has and wants to kicked out are those who enter the country illegally. President Trump has no problem with legal immigration...try and enter the buildings of Vatican City illegally and see what happens....
Our pastor spent his entire sermon instructing the congregation that Pope Francis’ words were against long-term, ongoing Catholic teaching, that the U.S. Bishops’ response was actually better, and that it may be a mortal sin to vote Harris, and that despite his imperfections, it was his opinion that to protect the remaining good and minimize evil, we are obliged to vote for Trump, even if you don’t like him.
When he tears down the Vatican walls, and sees what happens to it, I’ll listen to him on immigration...
“Pope wrong” - let’s just set that as the default for Francis.

I’m a Catholic, but that is not a pope who is representing the God I believe in. I see him as being apostate-there have already been a couple of apostate popes back in the middle ages-Francis is the latest one...
