Despite his grandson saying he was 'limited' as he turned 100, Jimmy Carter spent his birthday in the sunshine enjoying a military flyover at his Georgia home.
Carter - the first American president to reach the century mark - was able to watch a flyover of four F-18 jets and several vintage planes that graced the skies over Plains, Georgia as part of the town's celebrations.
He was also feted at Plains High School, where Carter graduated in 1941 and which now serves as the visitor center for the national park that features sites from his early life, including the nearby peanut farm where he grew up.
On Tuesday evening, the school held a concert in honor of the president, and in the morning, a naturalization ceremony for 100 new US citizens, who placed hands over their hearts and recited the pledge of allegiance.
Carter's grandson Jason issued a concerning update on the former president's health as he celebrates, but revealed who he wished to vote for in the upcoming presidential election.
Speaking to CBS Mornings, Jason Carter - who followed in his grandfather's footsteps in becoming a politician - said that the 39th former president is 'very limited in what he can do' and that he 'can't talk on the phone'.
But Jason also shed light on who his grandfather, who is the longest lived in U.S. history and now the first to become a centenarian, will vote for in the upcoming presidential election.
'When we asked him was he excited about his 100th birthday, he said 'I'm excited about that but I'm really excited to vote for Kamala Harris',' after he reportedly told his grandchildren that his new aim was to reach Election Day, after having been following the election.

I hope you live to see 101
Should have been airliners... filled with migrants.
Cargo planes filled with illegals going south, way south
Right!
Happy he made it and wish him a long and sound life.
His greatest achievement was peace between Egypt and Israel at Camp David. That was remarkable. He flipped Egypt from Soviet to US sphere (which mattered back then, to be fair though Egypt had been humiliated too many times using Soviet equipment and training so perhaps that paved the way).
His biggest failure was letting Iran fall to the Islamists. And he botched the embassy hostage rescue attempt. So I’m happy the aircraft flew and landed safely. They didn’t fare so well on his watch.
never thought I would say this about someone, but he looks rough for being 100.
I admire your equanimity, and I mean that.
I never liked the man. Ever.
But I will say this, and it is about the highest praise I can give these days to a Democrat: I don’t believe he hated this country. I simply believe he was an incompetent.
Why weren’t the planes filled with relief supplies for the people suffering in South Georgia?
I am spearheading a relief effort on Sunday to send water down to Vidalia Georgia. We might have to make two trips on that day.
I have busted my rear-end today and have raised funds for at least one of our trips. Our people need help and our government is ignoring them. I should not have to beg for supplies to help them out.
Yes, I am pissed!
God bless you president Carter.
Live till you want to!
My parents, or at least my father hated Jimmy.
we were having dinner and I called him jimmy farter and my father got all upset at me and said “you cannot disrespect the Office of the President” I had to stand in a corner while everyone else finished theirs.
about 20 years ago I got a 5oz silver Jimmy carter commemorative medallion and put it in the curio cabinet in the formal dining room. It took him a while to notice it, but at least he did, and he was fortunately able to laugh
A well-meaning but misguided man who squandered the post Nixon/Ford years with foolish liberal feel-good policies and poor leadership that ultimately diminished the safety, security, and prosperity of the United States in ways that greatly affect us to this day. Happy 100’th Jimmy.
I remember his battle with the rabbit.

So a very moderate Democrat by today’s standards
Would likely be run out of the party today
I don't believe there are even that many like him today. The very last Democrat I had one single ounce of respect for was Zell Miller.
Long ago.
I agree that many of the problems we have today are directly related to his actions. Well. I guess I will just leave it at that.
That’s pretty good...:)
My best friend’s mother was a dyed-in-the-wool Leftist, she never saw a Democrat policy she didn’t like.
When I was visiting him before she passed away, she asked us to go the the local library to pick up a book she checked out, and it was some floozy book about Hillary.
With my camera, I took a picture of some pro-Trump book, edited it on my laptop and printed it in color on a printer in the library and taped them together so it made a passable book cover...:)
She had a wonderful look of puzzlement and consternation when we came back and put the book down on the coffee table in front of her, but...she did at least manage a laugh!
Carter wheeled out to see a flyover
Blech
No thanks. I already saw that show the day Reagan flew the hostages home.
Now, not only the worst President, he is the President that lived the longest’
I flew a campaign flight from Newark to Toledo and back for Carter.
He was nice enough to come up to the cockpit to thank us.
He was pleasant and sincere.
He was also very short, a surprisingly little guy, our first reaction, when we all think that our POTUS is a tall leader.
Keep Going , Little Jimmah!
He doesn’t even look alive
