Public Advocate Jumaane Williams is a self-described democratic socialist whose office is likely best known for publishing a list of the 100 worst landlords in the city each year. Although Williams, through his policies, has done little to endear himself to the real estate community during his career, not everyone in the industry is concerned about what will happen if he becomes the acting mayor if Mayor Eric Adams resigns or is removed.

well that will be fun to watch....when more people leave, please don’t come to Texas, go to another blue state.
It may be a plate tectonics issue, but I feel like the USA is now just part of Africa. Corruption, mismanagement, crime and race hatred. The good stuff seems to be gone.
We’ve become South Africa - most of the big cities are run by blacks and whites are in retreat.
This helps to explain the push to get rid of Erick Adams.
Anthropomorphic Plate Tectonics! Obese nations moving around too much.
and that is why the major urban areas are in decline.
We went to a mall yesterday - something completely out of character for us. This is in FL. This “mall” is so big (and high-end) — deci-acres — that there’s an AutoNation on it (I wanted to peek at a truck).
For the wife’s sake, we did a bit of window shopping. A few minutes I realized we white folk were definitely a minority there. Lots of “people of color” strutting around with all their bling and shiny new cars, spending money cuz. They’re aren’t wanting for food, it appears.
I saw it in a flash. They are what we were a generation or two ago: deluded consumers, revenue-generating fodder for some big money cartel. I actually pitied them, even as I realize we’ve been squeezed dry and swept aside.
I was having this discussion over the weekend on the topis of Savannah. I lived there 22 years ago and met a number of entrepreneurs and business owners who spontaneously mentioned how hard it was to grow beyond a certain point in the tech and software arenas because of the lack of indigenous talent. They further commented that it wasn’t easy to recruit talent into the area. At that time the population was hovering around 50% of the city and black office holders were approaching 50% of elected positions. I think that the last white mayor was in office when I was there. Once it tips over 50%, a vicious cycle starts and well, you know the rest. Such a shame, it is a beautiful place, but it needs serious help.
New York... Concrete jungle, wet dream tomato...
He’ll take it all for himself
maybe he’ll get indicted first ,LOL
I remember malls.
I remember the guy who used to walk around Wall Street in feathers howling like a peacock.
