UNITED NATIONS, Sept 29 (Reuters) - The United States has dropped a push for the U.N. Security Council to ask for a plan to transform a security mission helping fight armed gangs in Haiti into a formal U.N. peacekeeping operation, a move some diplomats said was made to appease Russia and China....
The 15-member Security Council will vote on Monday on a draft resolution to extend the mandate for the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission until Oct. 2, 2025. The U.N. first approved the mission a year ago after the Caribbean country asked for assistance...
Diplomats say Russia and China did not want the council to ask for a plan to transition the U.N.-backed security force to a formal U.N. peacekeeping operation, so the U.S. removed that language from the draft resolution, seen by Reuters. Russia wants to allow more time for the security force to establish itself, Deputy Russian U.N. Ambassador Dmitry Polyanskiy said on Sunday...
The current Kenyan-led international security mission, while authorized by the U.N. Security Council, is not a United Nations operation. Countries voluntarily provide money and personnel. The mission has made little progress toward helping Haiti restore order with only 400 Kenyan police officers on the ground so far and a shortfall in funding. U.N. Allow NO Haitians into the USA and send those that are here back.
Some things just aren't fixable.
It is more important to ‘solve Haiti’ than anything else. If the gang and corruption problem gets solved, all these Haitians can be made to go home.
Your trust in the s/UN is higher than mine. Everytime we arm a country to “fight the resistance”.. we wind up fighting against the people we armed/trained… and we lose lives, dollars. If they are “seeking asylum” because we planted more cia ops there.. they just need to turn the page like Venezuela. Of course sending their criminals here too join our criminals is step one. So maybe they are further along than I thought.
Send the Haitians to Russia and China. Problem solved.
Just bring the rest here? Shouldn’t be a problem.
All of a sudden Haiti has become one of the top UN Countries on the planet after they send all of their criminals to the U.S.?
Why would they go home?
We solved the problem already by giving them the CBP One app and chartered planes to fly the thugs directly into the US. What more needs to be done?

It’s not that I trust the UN for anything. We undoubtedly give lots of money to the Dominican Republic. Tell them that they have to take the refugee protected and/or solve the gang problem or no more foreign aid money, period. Also something like assessing any US organization that previous humanitarian efforts in Haiti to fork over a hefty tariff/fee for their meddling there, The Clinton Family Foundation being one.
By right, shouldn’t the Haitians be sent to France?
Subsidiarity suggrsts let the Haitians dolve haiti’s problems.
If you give no arms and no food, let no one leave, then no power will take over unjustly without caring for the will of the people without being torn to shreds by a starving people.
Stop meddling. Pray for them. Stop anyone meddling as well, with big bombs, instantly.
