Sorry, Democrats, the Silent Trump Vote is Real!
American Thinker ^ | 09/29/2024 | John Kudla

The 2024 election is just a few weeks away. This means we are nearing the end of election propaganda, commercials, gaslighting, and talking heads offering their biased opinions on anything that might give their candidate an edge. That goes for me, too.

The turmoil caused by the Democrat coup against the Artful Dodger, Joe Biden, and the RFK Jr. endorsement of Donald Trump has mostly passed.

My take on Kamala Harris is she is an attractive, well-credentialed woman with a bubbly, outgoing personality. She appears to have used her personality to attract the attention of powerful Democrat politicians, who have been instrumental in helping her win elections.

Otherwise, she seems to be short on abilities. Despite having a law degree, she is famous for uttering incomprehensible word salads and appears incapable of explaining simple concepts. In a now-famous interview where she was asked how she would lower prices for Americans, her response was to riff about being a middle-class kid. Uh, right. Nothing to see there.

Despite all of this, numerous polls have Harris ahead nationally and in several of the battleground states. The Real Clear Politics national average has her ahead by 2 points.

As I mentioned in a previous post, much of the Harris polling lead is contrived.  There are two reasons for this, one intentional and the other unintentional.  Most polling organizations are tied to either colleges or the liberal news media.  Like most left-wingers, they lean toward Kamala and may even believe Trump is Hitler.  Wouldn’t you oversample Democrats or ghost a poll to help elect Kamala or defeat Hitler?

The unintentional oversampling is mainly due to non-response bias produced by societal and technical changes.  This means liberals are more likely to be included in polls than conservatives because conservatives get skipped over ...

Of course the silent vote for Trump thing is real. I get polling calls all the time. I simply don’t answer. But I will crawl over broken glass to vote for Trump. And that’s not an exaggeration. Heck I once drove with a broken hip to vote for Trump.

If someone whom I didn't know called me and asked whom I am voting for,
I would decline to say or just say "undecided".

Too many crazies to trust a random caller.

I’m going to vote early tomorrow. I might throw down some glass just so I can crawl over it.

BTW broken hips SUCK. Long story how it happened. Short version: black (not racist you leftscum lurkers - I mean black ice that has picked up enough particulates to make it look like asphalt) is nasty.

Still got to the polls and voted. Will do so again.

Social promotion through schools/college probably.

They hear and see many words without really knowing
their definitions or learning how to use them.

These folks have never learned to think logically or
to construct a sentence to express a thought or idea.
I've seen this in many people.

We know some folks who recently mentioned this silent Trump voter to us. They know we are registered independents, and partly because we feel the RINO party has let us down. We are very conservative, and yet, they somehow think we are Democrat-leaning. We are not. So we are the silent Trump voter they are looking for, right in front of their eyes.

Response bias is not as powerful as one might think. Far less so than simply being wrong with turnout model — which the polls mostly are.

And then there is Michigan and Wisconsin, who do not register by party. There are other sources of party data for those states, but they will always be doubtful.

If I had to point at the one numerical factor in play this year it is that Trumps strength is with young, often first time, voters. Coupled with a historical tendency of the young not voting. How that reconciles is undefined. I would hope Lara Trump’s RNC are out registering voters at construction sites lunch breaks where youngsters work.

Thank you.

I am going to vote as early as possible in my jurisdiction.

Early votes are supposed to be confidential. They of course get leaked esp by the leftscum - and often fakes. But enough of us got early we can overwhelm them.

Early voting was a leftscum ploy. Let’s turn it against them.

From a link: Vice President Kamala Harris failed the bar exam, required to practice law, on her first attempt but passed on her second try.

To be fair from what I’ve read the CA bar examine is a bitch.

She is “inactive” now with the CA bar. See https://apps.calbar.ca.gov/attorney/Licensee/Detail/146672

Pretty sure I got the correct record. But her name is not completely uncommon. If some Freeper could verify I’d appreciate.

There are two silent-Trump voter effects at work. First, there’s the tendency of unabashed Trump supporters to respond less than Democrats to polls. These are people who would have no problem telling their friends and co-workers that they’re voting for Trump, or with putting a Trump sign in their front lawn. They’re just wary of pollsters for whatever reason.

Then there are the silent-Trump voters who stay silent out of peer pressure. Those usually show up in polling as undecideds. They’re hesitant to tell not only acquaintances that they’re supporting Trump, but pollsters as well.

only an utter fool of a voter would volunteer information (except perhaps if you have a spiel prepared to gaslight them) to a pollster or any tyrant practicing surveillance for the ruling elite. and i don’t care who they purport to poll for.

I haven’t answered a poll since 2016.

It would be crazy to share your political opinions with a stranger, when people are canceled every day.
