I think the hybrids make sense and the investment in the EV’s will eventually yield better hybrid autos.

All the investors (aka: Donors) cashed out on Taxpayer $$$$$, so the EV promotions as "saving the planet" don't mean sh#t anymore.

Stay tuned for the next big scam, for the Donors, to rape the taxpayers, again.....

When is the Federal gov’t going to stop throwing our tax dollars to support an industry with a dying demand? I think it was a 10 year old Nissan Leaf that originally cost about $32K. The owner took it to a dealer for a battery replacement. Cost: $27000. Who’s going to put $27K into a 10 year old car, which means the owner must sell or trade it. So who’s going to buy it knowing it needs a $27K battery. Also, people are starting to realize that “clean” EV’s are not so clean and require using the grid to charge them, and a good portion of that power comes from coal. Then there’s the 90 tons of earth that has to be moved to produce 1 battery and the diesel fuel to move all that dirt, then move the ore to a processing plant, and then move a 1000lb battery to the assembly plant, and then move it again to the dealer.

The American consumer is saying No to the market for EV, so it’s time for the gov’t to stop throwing our tax dollars at a product we don’t want.

The “interest” in electric cars is ginned up, fake. The legit market for them is tiny. “Legit” being people who won’t experience any of the limitations they impose.

I wish Tesla made a v-12 version.

That would require some re-engineering of their front grills. And a few other things, too.

Akio Toyoda had it right when he said the maximum market penetration for EVs was 30%.

The actual Tesla goal is to make the best cars in existence

The purchasers decide what the best cars are for them. EVs? Not so much anymore. Petrol-powered? That's been the purchasers' preference for over 100 years, and not going to change anytime soon. Technology enhanced? That works just a well in ICE vehicles and even better. Thus, no need for EVs whatsoever. especially when EVs come with so many problems right out of the box.

You mistakenly believe that Tesla is only the EV car business.

The EV death of which you read doesn’t apply to Tesla.

Ihere are a lot of issues here, but I think the main thing is the randomly bursting into flame business.

When they create a battery that goes for 300,000 miles or more before it dies, and can travel 10,000 miles before needing a charge, and doesn’t burst Into flames at the slightest provocation, and is capable of running full ac and heat without hardly affecting the charge, who’s tires don’t crap the bed every 7000 miles or so, I’ll think about maybem perhaps buying an electric car... but then again probably not

I guess what I’m trying to say is that Musk will be getting out of the EV business...He has better things to do.

Yep, until they solve the battery issue, EVs are a non-starter. How long will that take, is anyone’s guess.

The government helped “snooker” some people with the tax rebate subsidy.

Yes, that’s the candy the government throws out to entice the unwary. They did it with the jab - Jim Justice in WV enticed his citizens to take the jab by entering them into a lottery for a firearm - and with EV’s, the government doled out huge tax credit candy. The government keeps peddling their candy to entice you to rush out and get your free shot or buy an incentivized EV, and they act as having unlimited taxpayer candy to throw away to unwary suckers. As Reagan said, be on guard whenever the government announces that they have arrived to help you.

He said that it “appears” that an EV car interacted with the sea water and caught fire, burning down the house - in the midst of a hurricane!

As long as no one was hurt, I think it's pretty darn funny.

My BIL and his half wit wife, if this happened to them, would rebuild the house and buy another electric car.

She ran a light in her electric Volvo and totaled her car with *minimal' damage to the ICV she hit. They immediately bought another electric Volvo. When I say totaled, to see the damage you'd wonder how she walked away. The other car had a crumpled driver side front quarter panel.

Two other government scams that are destined for the trash heap are solar panels and windmills. None to that crap can be profitably recycled so the landfills are going to fill up fast.

SHELL HAS ANNOUNCED THE CLOSINGS OF OVER 1000 GAS STATIONS-—IN CALIF—NEVADA—UTAH.

SOME OF THE MOST REMOTE HIGHWAYS ANYWHERE..WILL BE “CHARGERS” & NOTHING ELSE.

WHOEVER IS MAKING THIS DECISION IS BEYOND STUPID.

INVESTORS IN SHELL SHOULD BE DUMPING THEIR STOCK.

Currently around $66 a share.

Current power lines cannot handle such increases.
