The next acting mayor of New York City — if federally indicted Eric Adams were to step down — would be Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, a lefty Democrat who is often critical of cops and once ran a failed campaign for governor.
Williams, a self-described activist-politician who began his tenure as public advocate in 2019, has held elected office since 2010 when he first served on the City Council.
The 48-year-old Brooklynite, who lives on an Army base, has pushed for numerous liberal causes during his nearly 15-year career in public service.

Those NYC voters will be thrilled. A woke, socialist activist. So meaningful to them.
Just saw the young (!) Rudy Giuliani on the History Channel American Godfathers series where they said before he arrived as Mayor, NYC had approximately one million people leave the city. 1970s decade. They showed drive by videos of empty buildings, and said the people who left took their tax money revenue with them to new places. Crime went way up. Rudy solved it by tough on crime stance, admittedly to showboat his personal fame and power back then. Stop, question and frisk.
Sad how far he has gone down thanks to lawfare.

The people in New York will have opportunities to make better choices in November and in the future. Other than that, I don’t have much else to say - they brought this on themselves. Eric Adams was never actually a moderate anyway.

NY City only survives on tax skimmings from Wall Street and by Fed.gov aid. Its woke and radical leftist political system is now completely conformed to this reality.
What does the NYC public advocate do?
