The University of Pennsylvania will move forward with its historic punishment of conservative professor Amy Wax.
The Ivy League university has been investigating Wax, a legal scholar, for years now following a variety of comments she has made over the years about crime, IQ, and immigration. She has also invited white nationalist speaker Jared Taylor to address her class several times.

I don’t know of her, of course, but...political persecution, sounds like.
Speaking outside of the group think bubble.
OMG! Did she make a positive comment about Israel?
Sounds like grounds for a lawsuit.
Academic freedom for me but not for thee.
When MSM and leftist propaganda outlets scream “white nationalist” I think “conservative guy with heterodox non-leftist views”
To call her conservative is a huge leap. She’s more of an unorthodox liberal who will say what they all think.
They found the one conservative prof to make an example out of.
They found the one “conservative” prof to make an example out of.
Many decades ago when I was looking at colleges I interviewed there.
The interviewer could not help themselves—letting the leftist jargon slip into their interview talking about how “social justice” was a critical part of college education and similar nonsense.
I did not apply.
Penn has been a leftist dumpster fire for a long long time.
Imagine a leftist professor losing pay over comments they had made. The ACLU would have jumped on the university within mere minutes of that happening.
If she’d invited Jew-hating Holocaust deniers to speak, she’d have been given a balloon bouquet and a parade.
She had to see this coming. I hope, career-wise, she has her affairs in order.
She was punished for disclosing “confidential information” about class rank.
But U Penn PUBLISHES this information (in a slightly different format) with a list of names of Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude degrees, which are awarded by class rank.
She has a very good case if she can find someone to take it.
Amy Wax might be a great professor, but she sure is naive.
I never heard of that Jared Taylor guy. So I looked him up. And to avoid liberal bias, I went to his website.
I wouldn’t call him a white supremacist. However, he sure is focused on race. He probably has some valid ideas. But if he presented those ideas to a general audience without sugar-coating them, look out below.
(I’m being cautious here. I did not link his website here or mention his ideas, as I think that might cause things to drift into territory that the moderators wouldn’t approve of.)
“She has also invited white nationalist speaker Jared Taylor ...”
Sounds like a smear. I would put the probability of that being true at .05.
Amy has pointed out many times how poorly blacks do scholastically. It’s a fact, but you can’t say it.
Without affirmative action grading, very few blacks would get into law school and practically none would pass the bar exam.
Penn hired Michael Mann not too long ago.
Nuff said.
Watch his videos . He is 100% on the money
> Amy has pointed out many times how poorly blacks do scholastically. <
There is truth in that. Yet it’s a third rail. Touch it, and you’ll get electrocuted.
What to do, then? Avoiding the subject won’t help matters. Instead, approach the problem from an economic point of view.
Schools where most kids are poor (black kids, or whomever) desperately need reform. More discipline, more focus on attendance, more back to the basics.
Unfortunately, no one has the courage to carry out that reform. It’s much easier to kick the can down the road. And I say that as a retired urban high school teacher. I saw many black kids fail because the system allowed them to.
