Republican activists in swing states say they have seen little sign of the teams tasked with knocking on doors and turning out infrequent voters on behalf of Donald Trump, raising concerns about the party’s presidential nominee relying on outside groups for an important part of his campaign operations.
Trump and the Republican National Committee he controls opted to share get-out-the-vote duties in key parts of the most competitive states this year with groups such as America PAC, the organization supported by billionaire Elon Musk.
It is difficult to demonstrate that something is not happening. But with fewer than 50 days until the Nov. 5 election, dozens of Republican officials, activists and operatives in Michigan, North Carolina and other battleground states say they have rarely or never witnessed the group’s canvassers. In Arizona and Nevada, the Musk-backed political action committee replaced its door-knocking company just this past week.
“I haven’t seen anybody,” said Nate Wilkowski, field director for the Republican Party in vote-rich Oakland County, Michigan, which includes crucial Detroit suburbs. He was speaking specifically of America PAC. “Nobody’s given me a heads-up that they’re around in Oakland County areas.
*** “I don’t know what the PACs are doing,” said Mark Forton, the GOP chair in Macomb County, Michigan, a populous, suburban area northeast of Detroit. “I don’t know if they are going door to door.” ***
Based on ad reservations for Harris and the leading super PAC supporting her, they are on track to spend nearly $175 million more than Trump’s campaign and the leading super PACs supporting him by Election Day. Harris’ campaign has outspent Trump’s on advertising by 2-to-1 since she entered the race on July 23, according to the media tracking firm AdImpact. ***

but no longer ... and for the same reasons political door-knocking has gone the way of the Dodo bird ...
Have seen many Kamala ads on tv, no Trump ads. I’m in a strong Trump area, but it’s loaded with Harris signs and a couple of Trump signs.Very difficult to get campaign signs . Bought two small signs from Amazon for 20 bucks. Trumps daughter in law and Whitley aren’t doing enough.
Here in Middle Tennessee I saw a Harris/Walz marked truck in a convenience store’s lot with one of those gender-confused people in front. It was asleep at it’s card table of forms while the store’s customers were quietly giving a wide berth.
I suspect the reduction of signage is due to the majority remaining outraged from 2020’s election theft. People aren’t in the mood to just yell at any liberals daring to invade their yards to vandalize (click click).

Do you think gagline will vote for Trump?
My guess is he writes in DeSantis if he has that option.
I can remember Obama having teams out on the streets with his elections.
They are two different things, door to door politics still works while selling a $4,000.00 set of books to a household doesn’t, much less doing it several times a day and the 3 day cancellation clause was a massive setback to the business of door to door.
Being registered doesn't mean they'll show up and vote. This is campaigning 101 - GOTV. There are numerous "lazy voters" / "passive voters" who would vote for a certain candidate every election cycle that don't bother to show up unless they are prodded - and if an election is at all close, they are the difference makers.
In PA. Numerous visits.
Good to hear.
Your report is anecdotal, but so is what is said in the article.
But since the RNC elected to not spend its money on GOTV...what did they decide to do within their own organization instead?
GOTV efforts like this have made all of the difference in elections - especially Trump's 2016 victory.
We’re watching Sunday Night Football and just saw a Kamala ad, most likely targeting Georgia undecided airheads.
I haven’t seen a Trump ad all day.

“Got it.”
Thanks.
That article is also posted on X by Republicans Against Trump. Tells you all you need to know about the concern trolls promoting this story.
It works. Looks at “souls to the polls”… they have people going around neighborhoods dragging blacks away from their apartments, wherever they are, load em up on a bus and take them to vote. There is no GOP equivalent that I am aware of.
I’ve seen a great many Trump signs in rural MN and WI.
I am glad.
1) I wouldn’t answer the door.
2) Random door knockers would annoy me.
✔️
Knocking on doors is essentially useless, because very few people answer. I ran for office two times, knocking on about 32,000 doors. I could probably count on my fingers and toes the number of people who answered the door.
