I remember years ago giving the owner of a small Chinese restaurant a $20 dollar bill and 13 cents for a 24.88 tab. He looked at me kind of strange but just keyed it in, but he went ahhhh when he got the result. I figured he was too busing scrambling around running the place to figure it out in his head. My wife told me she hated when people did what I did.
How’d you get away with paying only $20.13 on a $24.88 tab? Especially at a Chinese restaurant?
I dont’ get it. You owed him $4.75. Either you have the wrong figures or I’m just don’t see what you do.
I take it that was a $14.88 tab and you wanted a five dollar bill + one quarter back.
And when you gave him the $4.75?
