Several high-ranking Secret Service agents are stepping down just before the public release of an internal investigation into the failures that led to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, PA on July 13. Among the findings of the report is the revelation that agents did not instruct local police to secure the rooftop of the building where the gunman positioned himself, two anonymous sources have revealed to the Washington Post.

Mike Plati, the assistant director of the Office of Protective Operations, officially retired on Friday, according to a statement from the Secret Service.

John Buckley, a senior executive responsible for managing resources for public event security, is also set to retire soon, as revealed in an email sent to Secret Service staff. Additionally, a senior agent from the Pittsburgh field office, who was involved in developing a security plan, has signaled his intent to retire, according to an official familiar with the investigation.

The headline was supposed to be President Elect Trump assassinated, Republicans search to name replacement to challenge President Biden. Nation in shock.

Once someone leaves Government service, they are not required to cooperate with the Inspector General, meaning any internal investigation will be severely curtailed.

The only organization that could investigate this matter is the FBI and DOJ and the odds of that happening are zero.

This life on Earth is a mere blip on the radar, when compared to eternity. God is not mocked; unless they repent, they will pay for their crimes for eternity. I pray they repent, because any justice they might receive on Earth is laughable, compared to suffering Hell FOREVER.

Those weren’t “failures”. That was an internal-government assassination attempt. Premeditated attempted murder on the part of all involved.

On November 6 Trump should tell all military generals to retire before he takes office otherwise they’ll be demoted. He can reinstate those he can work with. He could also retire senior enlisted with their 20 years if the military is top-heavy. Would young people sign up?

Those senior military retirees can go to work for him advancing his goals. Just pay them enough to make up for the lost income from retirement. An army of supporters. That would work. I’d put them in schools wearing Smokey the Bear hats-easy money.

“We knew within minutes after the assassination attempt there were massive security failures.

What we want to know is were these failures occurred intentionally.”

This.

It seems to me that the “security failures“ are so incredibly massive that they are really an attempt to cover up something deeply sinister, which is an attempt by portions of the deep state to eliminate a threat to its existence. This package is all together too nicely and neatly wrapped up, with a bow on top. Nothing in life is quite so simple as people would have you believe, and it is way too convenient to just blame this on the incompetence of a few individuals in a rather minor agency.

My friends read between the lines. If Kamala wins he’ll reconsider. Regardless a gop congress would make life difficult for these people. They’ll consider how close their retirement date is.

That doesn’t absolve them of responsibility in the matter.

Wonder how well they'll live in retirement?

It wasn’t incompetence. They will act like it is so that we will never know that the plan was to kill Trump on purpose.

He warned that beefing up this security will cost money.

It is not 'beefing up security'. It is restoring it to pre-defined levels that are already funded. If Rowe doesn't get that, then he should be fired.

Rowe said in a statement that the report found numerous errors for which the agency must be held accountable

Mr. Rowe doesn't seem to understand the word "accountable".

I would say that either:
(1) TOP Secret Service Agents have set a new LOW for performance standards or
(2) Top Agents are getting out because it’s all going to come crashing down as our new slavemasters reveal themselves.
May be we should stock up on tin-foil.

Bitt ? Should we head to the grocery or department stores ? How about the ammo store ?

Has there been any further evidence of the people or firms who shorted the Truth Social stock? The idea that they made a mistake is BS, but even if it were true, who are these people?

“bar any retirements pending in any anticipation of an investigation”

Put them in holding cells—if they are later found innocent of negligent homicide they can be released.
