What we need to do is start stripping the federal agencies. At the same time, House and Senate members need to be stripped of annual pay and benefits (retirement/medical, etc). Start paying them the approved GSA per diem rates while congress is in normal sessions (no extensions), and then send them home to their states like they used to do in the early days of government. They can work their normal jobs the rest of the year. Government has only three tasks: Provide for a common defense, print money, and form treaties. Everything else is taxpayer waste and should be left to state governments.

I’m regret not being plainer speaking.

We must have President Trump. There can be no distractions such as fighting a suicidal frontal attack that will certainly cost President Trump a second term.

The bravado about caving is so much BS. Being side tracked and costing the Trump the election is like a charge of the light brigade. Stupid, futile and unnecessary

I agree especially when the cause, the Save Act, appears to me to be too little, too late for this upcoming election.

Trump is our best hope, our only hope but perhaps the task of sparing the nation bankruptcy and a Hobbesian future is beyond any man.

Republicans suck. I really hope he is not speaker if the Repukes keep the house. Really not the man the moment calls for. I can see him now, “We just can’t the votes for no tax on overtime or tips, we need a bigger majority “.

Dear Registered Republican:

You live in a battleground state.

This is a list of people registered to vote as of 09/01/2024 near you.

....

If you know of someone who is not registered who is likely to vote for Trump, please talk to them about getting registered.

Republicans have never won a shutdown threat battle.

“no tax on overtime or tips”

Do even 1000 Walmart workers get overtime in 2023?

Does even a single Trump Organization worker get overtime?

HOW IS THIS calculated at 54 days???

The shutdown cannot occur before Sept 30, unless I have lost count of calendar days.

Because the media lets the democrats get away with it, every time. Just like they cheat on debates, lie to FISA judges to spy on people they know to be innocent, withhold exculpatory evidence, and plan to assassinate their political rival.

Until the media is unable to hold sway over narratives and voters, this country is hostage to them.

And I for one am totally sick of it. I constantly pray that God would deliver us from the one who steals, kills, and destroys - the Father of Lies, who uses the political beast and the religious beast to hold people captive.

"""Do even 1000 Walmart workers get overtime in 2023? Does even a single Trump Organization worker get overtime?"""

Unionized government people get rich off of it, lifeguards, firefighters, cops, and others rake in 10s of thousands, frequently making over a $100,000.00 in it, it is why we see lifeguards making well over $200,000 a year.

"OP-ED: Excessive MTA employee overtime continues year after year Recent news reported overtime for MTA employees grew to a record $1.4 billion in 2023."

"How longshoremen command $100K salaries in era of globalization and automation More than half of the 600 foremen and walking bosses took home more than $200,000. At the top end, 85 of them earned more than $250,000. Overtime, paid at higher rates, accounts for about a third of all hours worked, according to the shipping industry."
