There is more to this story than one guy retiring.
The Secret Service Inspector General is investigating what happened that allowed Trump to almost be killed.
Once someone retires, they don’t have to comply with any inspector general requests, this guy will not be required to cooperate in the investigation of what happened, I think the Internal Investigation into the Trump assassination has been gutted by this guy retiring and we know the FBI and DOJ are not going to investigate anything involving Trump.
I think the Secret Service got this guy out of the way to coverup what this guy knows.

That was their strategy. Get him out so he can’t be forced to testify.
I would say every sensitive government agency is always in CYA mode; they are doing so many illegal and unethical things they are always covering up something.
You don’t get to the top of a major government agency without carrying out the political will of the ruling elite, which is liberals both Republican and Democrat.
Was it a cover up from Day One, yes but it was a coverup from long before day one, it’s how they normally operate.
