Isn't it interesting that some church lady -- at about 1PM on a Sunday -- has found the time and focus to recommend over eighty minutes of war commnetary videos, suggesting that she watches them all. One wonders how long the church's sermon lasts by way of comparison.

You keep repeating this kind of ridiculous comment over and over - no need for me to bother reading the rest."

All such numbers are estimates and anyone can consider the source when evaluating their reliability.

Here is a table of nine different groups' estimates of both Ukrainian & Russian deaths & casualties, as of their own most recent updates:

The “REVEREND” doesn’t watch the videos she posts, read the articles she posts or read the comments others post to her.

She’s the COPY AND PASTE Queen of FR, a Useful Idiot employed by Zelensky to churn out propaganda.

Remember when she posted two threads a day, filled with announcements from Zelensky and the Ukraine Ministry of Defense?

Now she has to resort to hiding her posts in other FReeper’s threads due to the amount of overwhelmingly negative comments she receives.

Here's who defeated us in Vietnam. And I don't think he was a "Make Love Not War" type of guy.

My goodness, you guys all seem confused and disoriented this morning, were you out late celebrating last night?

  1. Worldtraveler once upon a time, your criticism of UMCRevMom@aol.com's post #238 is off by 12 hours, since it came around 1:00 AM this morning.
As for typical Christian church services, two hours is normal, when you consider activities before & after -- i.e., Bible studies.
    You should try it someday.

  2. bimboeruption addressed her criticism of Denys Davidov to me, rather than the poster, UMCRevMom@aol.com.
Of course, I'm happy to defend Davidov, since I don't believe a word of Rocco's nonsense.

  3. Cheerful posted her random comments to nobody, while fantasizing yet another rule here, to be enforced by... whom?
So, I'm guessing you guys all maybe need some coffee and a couple more hours of sleep before your heads clear up enough to know what you're really doing. 😉

IMHO... YRMV

Yeah mommy’s boy, we were all out celebrating last night.

We all got together to celebrate President Trump’s upcoming victory and the end of our country’s involvement in funding the Zelensky/Biden Laundromat.

What part of that speech where the former President of Russia talked about turning Kiev into a melted blot on the landscape? You kill Putin, you will get worse. How many nuke would finish off Ukraine? Three? Five? One? Playing with fire. IS IT WORTH IT?

The only people I know personally who are anti-war are Amish and Mennonites.

And I don’t believe any of them post on this site.

Aw, poor lad. Worried about a mistype. Here's another, as church lady types Davydov's video as 2023 -- not 2024. Off by a year, cowboy.

A direct question then: Have you watched the eighty plus minutes of YouTube videos she recommended?

bimboeruption: "Here's who defeated us in Vietnam.
And I don't think he was a "Make Love Not War" type of guy."

Sure, no dispute that McNamara was partially responsible, but he was down-stream from the ultimate causes and was not, by himself, a sufficient cause for US failures in Vietnam.

Given proper leadership and direction, McNamara would have done a decent job, though likely others could have done better.

But the root cause of failure in Vietnam was the election of 1964 -- in which Pres. Lyndon Johnson won reelection by claiming "Mr. Conservative", Republican Sen. Goldwater, would start a nuclear war, and he (Johnson) could prevent nuclear war with Russians while still fighting effectively in Vietnam.

In reality, North Vietnam could not be defeated without first forcing the Russians to back down, and even then, it was dubious enough that both former Pres. Eisenhower and retired Gen. MacArthur advised Pres. Kennedy against even trying.
MacArthur told Kennedy: "Anyone wanting to commit ground troops to Asia should have his head examined."
Another leader warning against war in Vietnam was Johnson's successor as Senate Majority Leader, Mike Mansfield.

In 1964, Sen. Goldwater advocated fully committing to victory in Vietnam, and toward the end of his life Goldwater said we should have either fully committed to victory or not engaged at all.
That was my opinion in 1964.

But Lyndon Johnson saw a political opportunity there and so waged political war against Goldwater, claiming Goldwater would start a nuclear war.
It worked and Johnson was reelected in a landslide.
But now Johnson was committed to fighting in Vietnam without doing what was necessary to win there.

And I don't think he cared, since for Johnson politics trumped everything else.
Losing a war in Vietnam was a minor inconvenience compared to the catastrophe of losing to a conservative Republican like Sen. Goldwater.

So, given those fundamentals, there is no way even a "boy wonder" like McNamara was going to win in Vietnam.
The best he could do was delay our defeat until the next (Republican) administration.

That Republican, Nixon, ran in 1968 pledging to find an "honorable peace" in Vietnam, but by then Democrats were so eager to blame Republicans, they would not allow anything short of complete humiliation, just as in Afghanistan 46 years later...

Politics in 1964 caused defeat in 1975:

>>>> Russia is Losing 1,000 Soldiers a Day - War Loss is IMMINENT<<<<

Russia has a lot more men than Ukraine, that is unless Zelensky suckers in NATO countries.

Zelensky could have avoided the millions of Ukrainians fleeing their country, the untimely deaths of 10's of thousands of his own people and the destruction of cities and fertile farmlands simply by agreeing to not join NATO.

Why wouldn't he agree to not join NATO?

Because Zelensky loves money and power more than his own country.

"If it happens so that Ukraine -- due to various opinions and weakening and depleting of assistance -- loses, Russia is going to enter Baltic states, NATO member states, and then the U.S. will have to send their sons and daughters exactly the same way as we are sending [our] sons and daughters to war. And they will have to fight because it's NATO that we're talking about and they will be dying, God forbid, because it's a horrible thing." ~ Zelensky, Feb. 2023
