I wonder how many of the hostages taken by Hamas would approve of their lives being used bargaining chips for the demands that the State of Isreal effectively commit national suicide as a condition of their release.

In my opinion, this obsession with the release of hostages at any and all costs is becoming an affront to all of the brave Israelis who have given their lives standing their ground and holding the line both to establish the State of Israel and then to defend it against attacks in unprovoked wars and acts of terrorism for the last 80 years.

The "cease fire" negotiations have become so disassociated from reality that Israel is expected to approve a deal with Hamas after Hamas just openly murdered three of the highest priority hostages specifically mentioned by name in the terms

IOW, of course it does -- it's a shilly-shally approach, the US demand (it's not an agreement, because Hamas won't agree to anything) is full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
