Campante has it backwards - we don't want career civil servants acting with impunity. We want our 'political appointees' (our CongressCritters) running checks and balances on them.

Datapoints from the article:

You can’t fire these people but you can transfer them (Alaska and Guam sound like good places). If they don’t like it, they can quit.

The article points out that in the first Trump administration 40 employees of the Dept. of Agriculture were relocated from Washington. Hardly an amount worth getting into an uproar about. But articles like this are written to out of fear that Trump may win Virginia this time around.
Besides all of that, those who are complaining about the possibility of federal employee relocations during a second Trump administration are suffering from a misunderstanding. They appear to believe that the country’s role is to serve federal employees rather than the other way around.

During former President Donald Trump ‘s administration, her office under the U.S. Department of Agriculture was told it would be moving. About 75 people were going to be relocated to Kansas City, Missouri....
That just doesn’t make a lick of sense, because more than 90% of the agriculture in America happens inside the DC city limits. Corn, potatoes, beef, poultry: they are all grown right there in Washington DC. Why else would the USDA be headquartered there? All the farming expertise is clustered In the nation’s capital.

Campante said it also has a downside....“I think it is a positive factor for accountability that you have civil servants also operating as a check on political appointees, and this would be weakened. And there ladies and gentlemen is the true deep state.

Federal workers don’t need to fear being moved. Their jobs should be eliminated. Government could easily be cut in half with no effect except the reduction in cost.

First off, let’s get this straight, they are NOT Federal “workers”, they are Federal employees subservient to the democrat party. The last thing they do is work unless it’s to undermine a republican administration.
Most of them are Marxist subversives, especially the ones living in Washington DC and Maryland.
