Sound recording of a telephone conversation held on October 28, 1962, between President John F. Kennedy and former President Dwight D. Eisenhower. They discuss dealings with Soviet Premier Nikita S. Khrushchev for ending the Cuban Missile Crisis. [White House Operator?] connects the call at President Kennedy’s request.

I wonder what the call between Heels and the dementia patient strategizing our security sounds like today?

That was a really good video
We now know that JFK did remove our missiles in Turkey—in secret.
I wonder if he briefed Eisenhower on that one after he did it.
Can’t imagine a conversation like this today.
Can you imagine if we still had this type of engagement between current and former Presidents? Today we have the current administration using law-fare to lock up the former president. Tragically we have become the aggressive nation Kennedy feared.
This video is in the growing Rumble catalog to watch And share for those of you that don’t want to use woke Trump hating youtube/google products
JFK’s Phone Call with General Eisenhower during Cuban Missile Crisis

The conversation today would be the Pentagon and CIA telling Jill Biden what their plans were, and her translating it to her vegetable husband that it meant $ millions for them and Hunter, and political protection.
JFK was a disaster on foreign and domestic policy and his election killed us, America would have survived if Eisenhower’s veep, Lieutenant Commander Nixon and war hero General Lodge who had helped persuade Eisenhower to run had won in 1960.
History certainly repeats itself, doesn’t it? The number one escalation by NATO in this war that forced Putin to escalate the war with the SMO in February, ‘22? The NATO plans to deploy offensive nuclear missiles in Ukraine.
Thank you. Please do this anytime you see me post from YouTube.
We’re those missiles in Turkey (Jupiter -class?) Nuclear tipped?
Snicker.
That’s from the biggest RN fan you have probably ever conversed with.
That’s my contribution to your CJ in this thread.
JFK got punked by Castro. No reason why that Island wasn’t invaded and the communists evaporated. Allowing communism in our hemisphere is a disgrace.
Nuclear missiles in Turkey—correct.

“the United States also agreed to remove its nuclear missiles from Turkey”
JFK got punked by the CIA.
They told him they could get the Bay of Pigs job done without air support when they were convinced he would panic at the last minute and give them the air support they needed.
The CIA guessed wrong.
Thanks Ike.
He could have finished off the Germans in the Falaise Pocket IF he'd been aggressive enough. Or IF he'd let Patton's drive be priority over Montgomery.
In hindsight Ike was not a great strategist.
I'd have said: "John, you may call me Ike, or you may damn well call me Mr. President!"
My opinion of Ike just sank quite a bit after finishing “Blacklisted By History” by M. Stanton Evans. Ike went after Joe McCarthy because Joe was pointing out the continued protection of communists in HIS administration. McCarthy would not have been censured without his support. We wonder how we’ve gotten to the point where communism & communists are so advanced in this country. Ike played a part & not a good one.
Removed soon to be obsolete missiles from Italy and Turkey and allowed the Russians a base in Cuba right off our doorstep.
My poli sci professors held this up as a great example of political gamesmanship by JFK.
In the nuclear game of chess we got pawned.
