However, all he will talk about is gouging oil companies.

And they will go along, since they are all showing good profits, and that is all the California politicos see.

The California tax on a gallon of gasoline is 59.6 cents per gallon.

Tax gouging by the government but that’s OK ,LOL

Utterly useless for decades.

Au contraire! It'll be a gold mine for well connected contractors, drilling companies, and remediation specialists.

Price controls. The last gesture of all failing communist gov’mts.

The biggest oil company, Chevron, announced recently that they are leaving CaCaLand — specifically because of Newsome’s policies. They operate one of 3 remaining refineries in state. If they find a buyer they will walk away entirely and prices will double again.

Gosh maybe all the regulation and taxes in California aren’t a good idea?

Special session for a legislature that meets continuously? Did he cancel their weekend or something?

KTLA

Yet another example of not hating the media enough. “Democrat says something so it must be good and will work if it wasn’t for those meddling republicans.”

Only way to bring them down is to raise taxes. 😵

What would happen if the oil companies abandoned Cali-fornia?

Below is a link to the complicated formulas for calculating and distributing gas taxes in California.

Some streets in some cities/towns have not been repaved since Governor Reagan.

The reason for high gas prices in California is regulations and taxes. You don’t need a special legislative session to find that answer. And unless there is a plan to cut one or another (or both) then the session is not really needed at all.

Born and raised in the most beautiful part of the state, if not the world, (South Lake Tahoe). Stationed in a dream base in Monterrey, and another in Morro Bay and all along the California coast. (Anyone here remember the “Dragon Lady” at the Fresno MEPS ?) Went to college in Fresno and started a business. It truly was a Golden State when republicans ran it. I left when Gumby got erected because the writing was on the wall with that clown. There appeared to be an attempt to restore the glory with that clown Schwarzenegger but he was a complete useless failure democrat tyrant with an R next to his name. Such a shame what democrats do to everything. Now I just go once a year to visit family and pay respects to friends’ and family’s graves. Living in the Sierra Nevadas though. What a beautiful place.

Newsome is just another communist elitist. Rules for thee but not for me. That place is Fd. Driving down the 99 you would guess you are in Mexico. What is the saying about weak men bringing hard times. Governor Brylcream is as weak as they come.

“require petroleum refiners to maintain a stable inventory”

I am sure Newsome and his democrat hacks are rushing to approve storage facilities all over the state.

You can’t even build a garden shed in that state without dozens of permits and government officials stealing your money. Commies are evil.

California requires their own special blends of gasoline, plus the state taxes per gallon are probably the highest in the nation.
