The communists are all for weed everywhere, all the time.

We should probably figure out why that is.

When we do figure that out we will probably find that this is not at all in our best interests.

Yes. Perhaps it’s best for Trump to not go there. Plus, smoking marijuana in a public place is a state issue. Not the business of any federal official.

As I prefer Marijuana to alcohol, I care about this topic a bit.

Nothing wrong with this stance from my perspective. Tobacco was villainized and restricted widely. Even though I smoke, I don't want to inconvenience others with my use within reason.

I wish this applied in general anywhere. My daughter has a neighbor, where he and his son smoke marijuana almost daily on their back deck. The wind direction carries the smoke east over the fence to her deck. Yes, they're Democrats who hate Trump. The father is lazy, uses every excuse to not work, got handicap placards on his 4x4 F-150 truck even though long cured of a bump to the knee, and the 30-year-old son is non-working as well.

Very annoying to my daughter and granddaughter when they want to use their back yard. When I visit, I often say out loud "Gosh, it stinks next door!". I've let the guy know I disapprove of his politics and lifestyle.

Some cars pass me going 80 MPH on our local highway, and even with my windows up, I can smell weed coming from them for hundreds of yards afterwards. The stuff available today is super-potent.

The same people who would ban smoking are typically OK with kids being allowed to smoke pot. What’s the fun, anyway, of smoking something that’s legal?

I don’t like drugs, but I don’t believe in prohibition. People should be given good and accurate information but be free to live their lives.

If they commit a crime while high, it’s not a factor in reducing sentences.

I’m tired of smelling it on people who pass by me.

Just as bad as some perfumes or colognes.

Trump needs to focus on federal issues and not get ensnared in local issues that put him at odds with voters.

Sounds reasonable to me. I visited my brother in Miami recently and he was commenting on how prevalent the smell of marijuana smoke is when walking the streets of downtown. And these are nice areas of town, not slums, that he was talking about. It’s just accepted by local law enforcement down there. He assumed that I was experiencing the same thing where I live in North East Florida. I told him we don’t have that problem in my part of the state.

BTW, medical marijuana use was legalized in Florida in 2016 but recreational use is still officially prohibited. But the penalties for recreational use have been decreased in many parts of the state, particularly in South Florida (i.e. Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties). In all three counties, being caught with 20 grams or less is classified as a civil citation with a $100 penalty for first time offenders. Even that is rarely enforced so people smoke openly in many areas of that part of the state.

If marijuana can be smoked where ever, then cigarettes, cigars and pipes should be allowed as well. Solves that problem fast.

Public drunkenness is still illegal, isn't it?

So if weed is legal, why not make it clear the same rules apply?

Cannabis, THC, liquid, gummies, actual weed, certainly has a continuing effect on the state of Colorado, innocent enough to be everywhere and insidious enough to be destructive. Every. Damn. Where. Even western slope.

Oh but it’s feckin’ harmless. /$

Here’s Trump’s full Truth:

As everyone knows, I was, and will be again, the most respected LAW & ORDER President in U.S. History. We will take our streets back by being tough & smart on violent, & all other types, of Crime. In Florida, like so many other States that have already given their approval, personal amounts of marijuana will be legalized for adults with Amendment 3. Whether people like it or not, this will happen through the approval of the Voters, so it should be done correctly. We need the State Legislature to responsibly create laws that prohibit the use of it in public spaces, so we do not smell marijuana everywhere we go, like we do in many of the Democrat run Cities. At the same time, someone should not be a criminal in Florida, when this is legal in so many other States. We do not need to ruin lives & waste Taxpayer Dollars arresting adults with personal amounts of it on them, and no one should grieve a loved one because they died from fentanyl laced marijuana. We will make America SAFE again!
