I thought about that today. These are two very driven, accomplished, success oriented men, who are not tethered to America for generations. Their love of America is probably more related to the opportunity and resulting success than any other reason. With that being their central focus, their opinions make more sense.
What I concluded from this whole debate is that if America has to go to India and elsewhere for their best and brightest, they had best be having a good hard look at why. In that regard, Vivek has some points. Broken homes, drugs, kids addicted to phones, social media, woke virus, lousy schools that don’t educate....the list is long. However, I believe what I heard on WarRoom today. This is just another ploy for cheaper labor, fewer benefits, and having more control over the employee. Lots of Americans can still fill these positions, but they cost more.
But yes, Vivek and Elon are, for all intents and purposes, immigrants (even though Vivek was born in America), and would thus favor immigrants.

This is exactly why Vivek should never be President.
I guess their goals are not our goals, as you eloquently stated Judy. But I find it odd both would go out on a limb without consulting Trump. OTOH, neither are used to having to consult with anyone. But they have to know this is a different situation.
Aren’t there H1B laws in place - the companies have to try to hire Americans first, prove they can’t find anyone at a decent wage before going the H1B route, etc.
