“What does your vision test as?”

I can’t tell you off hand but my regular eyedoctor assures me it is much improved.

The thing is though for years when I would take the refraction test and then he would write the Rx when I got the glasses I couldn’t stand to wear them and would go back to the glasses I had several years back. I don’t know if his machines were off or if he got a kickback from the catarack clinic for sending people there.

About the only difference I can tell now is whites and the sun is so much brighter I can’t stand it. :-)

Sounds like they did manage to remove the cataracts then. Don’t know about the replacement lens if you can’t see better.

Like you said, dry eyes can interfere with vision. So can floaters, which are pretty common after cataract surgery. Some of the vitreous gel breaks loose and floats around. But you would notice those moving around.

I can’t remember, do you do a warm compress? Increasing that to a couple times a day, along with the humidifier and your moisture drops might help.

When I have a dry eye flare up, I do exactly that, and I try to avoid things like screens. Also blinking exercises. It might not feel like any one thing is working, but eventually all of it converges and I end up feeling better.

If you have any of the steroids left from the cataract surgery, they might be helpful but you didn’t hear that from me. With those you should be able to tell very quickly if they help. They reduce the inflammation that usually goes along with dry eye.
