Democrats and Republicans can agree on one thing coming out of their respective conventions: Almost no one cares about Covid anymore.
Infections are running rampant after the Democratic confab in Chicago, with staffers on Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, reporters and other convention-goers all stricken — and in at least one case claiming the positive test was “worth it.” Cases also cropped up after the Republican National Convention in July.
And yet the single most-animating issue of the 2020 election is an afterthought for the major-party nominees coming out of two of the 2024 campaign’s biggest milestones — even as the virus remains an ever-present threat that’s shaped broader debates over key electoral issues like strength of the economy and the future of families’ health and child care.
Both campaigns have struggled with how — and how much — to address a pandemic that the U.S. never fully defeated, but that few Americans still want to dwell on.

CBS This Morning was spreading fear about mosquito borne illness saying it was do to....climate change.
The same ppl driving alone masked & gloved up. We think of ourselves as ‘modern’ armed with great knowledge our ancestors never could have imagined. However I think we are much inferior to them I almost every way.

For those interested: There will be two types of Covid vaccines available. One is the more recent mRNA type. The second is the more traditional Novavax product. Although the mRNA might be marginally more protective, the Novavax is longer lasting and has fewer side effects.
Yes, but how virulent is it? Viruses have a tendency to weaken over time. Just because it is still called COVID does not mean that it is a dangerous as it was when it first broke out.
No one cared about it 2 years ago.
It just took that long for Politicians to get the message.
Remember when we couldn’t go anywhere during COVID while other people were allowed to take over parts of cities and burn them down?
That was weird.
I never had a single COVID shot and never had this so-called COVID - not even once.
Whatever you do, do not blame the used tires shipped around the world transporting disease-carrying, tropical mosquitos all over the world.
