Russia has diverted 30,000 troops from Ukraine to defend Kursk, says Kyiv

Russia has diverted some 30,000 troops from the front lines in eastern Ukraine to the Kursk region, the top Ukrainian commander said Tuesday.

Col. Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, said at a Ukrainian forum that the troops were moved from the front but did not clarify from which directions of eastern Ukraine.

He added the number of Russian troops being redeployed “is growing,” and the Kursk offensive is putting pressure on Moscow.

Ukraine has now claimed close to 500 square miles of Russian territory in Kursk, captured 100 settlements and taken 594 Russian prisoners, Syrskyi said.

The U.S. has also said there is evidence of Russian diverting troops from the front lines but has not provided any details on the redeployments.

Putin has hit the idiot lottery! The Kursk entire operation was of RUSSIAN origin. The Russians pulled forces out, left defenses in disrepair, etc. to draw the Ukes in. A brilliant “Come Hither”, rope a dope facade was presented and S and Z took it hook, line and sinker. The 30,000 already in, they’re gone, dead or dead men walking. The Russians have air superiority. Why do you think they let them in. Why do you think the Russians pulled troops back when the Ukes were “rolling”?

The Russians have 300,000 fresh reserves who have never seen combat. They’ve been training and equipping since mobilization. Where are they? Why weren’t some of them on the Kursk border?

One way gate. The Russians allowed 30,000 to stroll in already. There’s no way out. The Russians will collapse the pocket once S and Z run out of cannon fodder. I’m sure Putin’s thoughts are, Keep ‘Em Coming.

What Idiots!

Of course the obvious bait was the Kursk nuclear plant.

Well tbh, you asked us to get back with us in a week on the 8th when the Ukrainians were wiped out.

I think Ukraine will continue to grab territory and use it as a bargaining chip for when Trump is in office.- “We will leave Russia if Russia leaves Ukraine.” If Ukraine loses a little more territory in the meantime it will not be relevant.

So I predict Ukraine will still be in Russia by the election.

That is quite the imaginative copping mechanism you have there. But if it helps you to sleep at night, sweet dreams.

THE PARK FIRE NEAR CHICO, CALIF has consumed OVER 672 SQ MILES. Not even 50% Contained, much less controlled.

JUST CHECKED. LOCAL INFO SAYS IT IS 100% CONTAINED. NOT CONTROLLED, which means it still can spread.

In War, it is real hard to believe ANYTHING. Everyone has a motive and a slant to their reports.

As our Russia trolls would tell us, it’s all a brilliant plan by Putin, and Ukraine is finished.

The idiots keep sending in more cannon fodder!!! Read the article. Why on earth would Putin shut the gate when he’s got a jackpot going? The Ukes tried a boneheaded move last summer when they made an incursion towards Belgorod looking to get some supposed nuclear materials in that area. Putin KNEW the idiots couldn’t resist the bait of the KNPP. He set the bait. BOOM! Hook, line and sinker!

Do you really believe the Ukes could assemble that force right under the Russian noses and their technology and spies wouldn’t notice?!? Really?

Look at the area. Bum F, rural Russia. There’s nothing there. It’s not like this is Donbas. Sure, Putin let them in. Let them in to the area with the least to be destroyed all along the line.

I admit it. I misread the Ukes. I thought once they realized the nuclear plant dream was gone, they’d do what anyone with a brain would do. Cut your losses and try to get the hell out.

I flat misread how stupid these idiots could be. I stand corrected. Putin will leave that gate to hell open as long as Z continues to use it.

Based on the incompetency of the Russian military, absolutely.

I do not think they were ever going for the NPP.

Time will tell.

Let me add that yes, Russia knew about the buildup, but Gerasimov ignored it.

Russia currently has 500,000 men in Ukraine and is going to add 300,000 more by the end of the year.

According to Ukraine...

30,000 is an afterthought.

Oh, the Russians saw the Ukrainian buildup but in their arrogance they never thought that the Ukrainians would attack into Russia proper. The Ukrainians also put out the notion that they were afraid of a Russian buildup and that the troops were there to stop an expected Russian attack. The Russians are not playing 3d chess; they are playing checkers.

It’s a good thing the Russians got LOTS of free equipment from the US during WWII because they are so inept they would have never saved Moscow on their own.

—” The Russians are not playing 3d chess; they are playing checkers.”

Recycling old and famous checker games.

Allow the UA to take some land, while they hopefully pile up artillery rounds and tubes. Some of the best the Norks have on offer.
Then a creeping barrage to reclaim the territory.
No pur sang troops needed and no need to bother the good citizens of Moscow/St Petersberg.

The Russian citizens stuck in the area may get their hair messed up a bit, but they are expendable.

Most of the UA will be gone in an orderly retreat.

And Moscow will claim they took out a UA Division that did not exist.

Novohrodivka has fallen and Russia has immediately begun the same process to take Pokrovsk a major transportation intersection.

The Ukes are also worried the same will happen to Toretsk leading to Kostyantynivka, another connecting transportation intersection.
